    The end of June or the beginning of July I had asked barter lawns to aerate my lawn. They did that. Which was fine but the machine ran over a few of my hose guides. When it did that it also grabbed the hold of a wire on my landscape lights which in turn broke those. I contacted barter lawns via email and also call them about my issue. They responded by asking me how much it was and I thought they were going to remedy it. But I have not received anything. I have contacted them multiple times since then and I'm getting no response so my last email to them was saying I was going to put in a complaint. And I still haven't gotten a response. The only thing I was asking for was the cost of the replacement lights. I didn't ask for the replacement cost of the hose guides but now that I'm not getting anything, I feel I should be reimbursed for both.

    This company offers a minimal discount for early payment every year. Last year on 02/27/2023 I opted to take the discount and paid $365.25 which was for the entire years services in advance. that date was well within the expiration date of 04/15/2023. In June noticed an additional charge of $36.50 without an explanation. I made copies of the original invoice showing the breakdown of services, a copy of my check paying the total in full and texted same to Barter Lawn services. As the months rolled on the unexplained charge continued to show up and now my account showed that as a past due amount. I contacted the owner, Mark D******* to advise him of the problem and he advised me that my account was up to date and the problem was with his accounting software. I contacted him again on 08/28/2023, 09/24/2023 and 11/03/2023 and was told it continued to be a software issue. Each time I included all pertinent documentation but the season ended with the mystery charge still in place. Yesterday 12/08/2023 I received an invitation to again prepay for the 2024 season and it included a statement showing a second round of grub control which was not contracted for and never applied, nor does it appear on any of the invoices we receive when applications are applied. I suppose this is the way the company tries to bury the unexplained charge. As a side note my account, which was paid in full before the season began, now shows over 120 days past due. No more excuses! Fix your software problems
