On 6/8/22 on paid $200 to reserve the event center at Bucks Bar and Grill (Central Ohio Hospitality) for a retirement party scheduled on 6/10/23 from 2PM to 6PM. I was having Bucks provide a bartender and cater all of the food. I provided a preliminary menu to the event center coordinator when I booked the room and was told to contact them in January of 2023 to finalize things. In September of 2022 Bucks sold and new owners took over. In January I sent an email to the event center email address to update my menu and guest count and got no response. I continued to send emails with no response. I started calling and either one of 3 things would happen, the line was busy, they wouldn't answer or when they did answer and I told them what I needed and they would tell me to hold and then they would just hang up. I stopped in on several occasions and was always told to come back because the owner was not there. On 5-17-23 I went there for dinner and while I was there I told the waitress the situation and that I wanted to speak to the person in charge of the event center. She said she would get her and then I saw the owner sneak around the bar and run out the door, jump in her truck and take off. It is far too late for me to do anything with them now, I have had to make arrangements with another venue. I'm tired of the childish games and I want my money back. I don't care if they weren't the owners when I paid the money, they bought the business and everything that goes along with it.
