Hired Mackey and Son Construction to do a roof replacement. $14,500 Agreed price and contract signed aprx 10/22/2021. They didn't start roof until April 2022. Contract was for what I knew to be a full roof replacement with the exemption of flat rubber roof above my kitchen. That was to be assessed separately. Notified them of continuing leak mid-April. They came out and looked at it which resulted in another $3,000 contract price to repair a wall that was letting water in. They also at that time replaced the rubber roof above my kitchen. So at this point I am all in for a total of $17,500. After that was "completed", there have been numerous call backs for leak in my living room continuing. This was the leak that originally started the whole roof replacement process and ended up with the wall/windows being looked into. Dates notified of continuing leak: 5/26 through current date. Leak has progressed from the living room ceiling to a new leak in my daughters room. They have addressed the leak in the family room. As of today, (8/8/2022) leak in family room appears to be fixed with light rain we have had. Leak in my daughters room continues. When I originally contacted ***, I was informed that the issue of dormer leak(above daughters room) was because the J-channel on siding for dormer runs under the rubber roof just outside of it. This dormer is fully surrounded by shingled roof with the exception of just outside the window. So how they re-shingled and replaced all the step flashing and this is still in issue, is beyond me. The rubber should have been replaced from the get go, and even if it hadn't been, the new step flashing should have been installed over the rubber under the j-channel in the first place. I can't get them to come out and look at it. He is no longer taking my calls or text messages. He has repeated said he will be over and doesn't show.Business response
