    My husband and I just stayed at one of Good Earth’s Cabins called the Hilltop Cabin this last weekend(2/2-2/5/23). We paid $879 for this 3-night stay. We have been to Hocking Hills many, many times and have stayed in several different cabins. NEVER have we stayed in a cabin that was as poorly cared for as the Hilltop! We chose this cabin because of a few of the amenities that were on the listing (ie. fireplace, coffee pot, hot tub etc.). The fireplace did not work! The coffee pot would heat up, but the tube to siphon the heated water through the grounds wouldn’t work, so no coffee! And the hot tub had a disgusting film over the top of the water, proving that it hadn’t been cleaned properly in a while! Next, was the water problem! The cabin had a well that wasn’t working properly! We think this was due to the downstairs toilet that was constantly running, using up all of the water! There was a ton of air in the lines, causing the water to shoot out of the upstairs bathroom sink and totally soaking us as we were trying to wash our hands. We were also unable to take a shower for longer than 5 minutes because the water would run out, even though we didn’t use water for anything else! The owner of the property stopped by on Saturday morning (2/4/23) with a painter. When she knocked on the door, I told her about all of these issues and she said that she was unaware of these problems and she would let the management company know about these things. At the very least, I thought we would get a call from the management company to try and help resolve these issues, or move us to another cabin. But, I never heard from anyone! Lastly, and probably the most problematic, was the mice infestation! These little critters came out every night and ate and ruined a bunch of our food. We had to throw out several items because the mice chewed holes through packages and left mice poop EVERYWHERE!! There was mouse poop in the shower, next to the washer and dryer, on top of the refrigerator and microwave and all over the stove and counters!! These conditions were DEPLORABLE and totally unsafe for people to be staying in this cabin!! And what is even more sickening is that a review was made after I made 3 weeks ago by a renter through Airbnb ( see photos for this review)and these same issues were complained about! They didn’t do a thing in those 3 weeks to correct these issues as we had ALL of the same issues! That is totally UNACCEPTABLE!! I am requesting a FULL refund because of these unhealthy and unsafe conditions of this cabin!! There is no way they should be renting out this cabin until several repairs are made and the mouse infestation is eradicated!! I have also called and left messages twice, once during our stay on 2/4 at 1:42 pm, after we didn’t hear from anyone after the owner called Good Earth Cabin’s. Then, another call on Monday 2/6/23 and haven’t received a call back with an explanation or apology for the horrid conditions of their cabin! On, Monday 2/6, I received an email stating they would refund us a mere $150 for the issues we encountered! I don’t feel this is a sufficient amount for all of the issues we had! We couldn’t even take a shower during our stay! There was enough mice poop all over each morning for many, many mice to be living in that cabin. Here is the email I sent back to them about their mere $150 refund. [Hello, While I appreciate the $150 that you have refunded us because of the issues we had at the Hilltop cabin over the weekend, it is not nearly sufficient enough for all of the problems we had! Please see the detailed email I sent yesterday for the HUGE list of problems/ issues we had over our 3 day stay. Also note, my husband and I have 2 adult children with severe medical disabilities and we do not have opportunity to get away on a long weekend very often! We finally were able to make arrangement for this long weekend and it was totally RUINED by the DEPLORABLE conditions of the Hilltop cabin!! We couldn’t even begin to relax and enjoy our time away knowing we were sharing the cabin with dozens of mice and important amenities that didn’t work! Another thing that I am really concerned about is that you will continue to rent this cabin out this next week and totally ruin other people’s vacations/ Valentine’s Day!! Please DO NOT DO THIS! Please reach out to the upcoming renters and cancel their reservations and refund all of their money! Molly Barber 614-361-9251]

    Service was nice until we arrived. Air conditioner not working, bats in rafters, dishwasher broken, multiple leaks in the roof - smelled musty and of urine. Called MULTIPLE times and no answer. Even called the emergency number with absolutely no response. Will not rent from them again.
