In March 2021, this office did some dental work to help me prepare for getting dentures. After getting teeth pulled, I agreed to getting upper dentures completed until I could decide on lower full denture or partial. July 13, 2021 I paid them the $655 in advance to go ahead and do the measurements for the upper denture. I went back several days later and was fitted. I had to call them back as the denture continued to remain loose fitting in my mouth. Literally would fall out. I was given a date to return three separate times at which they attempted to adjust but nothing ever changed. To this day, the denture STILL does not suction or stay in my upper jaw. I have NEVER even attempted to eat with it in, as I know that without a lower fitting eating would be beyond difficult. However, without eating, after a great deal of research, I am aware that it should at least stay in the upper jaw. IT DOES NOT. I want a refund. I have to go elsewhere now.Business response

To whom it May Concern:
In regards to complaint ID *******6 patient **** ****** and her ill fitting denture.
Patient did have an upper denture made at our office and received this appliance on 07/27/2021. Patient did return to our office on two separate occasions for an adjustment on upper dentures (this service is free the lifetime of the denture) Patient had been advised by not only our dentist; but including the office that she was referred over to us by that the patient needs a lower partial or lower denture for the upper to function properly.
Patient only has lower anterior teeth remaining; without molars you are unable to chew and bite properly. Please feel free to advise with any dental professionally to confirm this.

Better Business Bureau:
Thank you so much for forwarding the response back from the Louisville Dental Clinic. Unfortunately, I have found it to be of little help in solving my complaint.
First, one purchases their upper denture for more than just eating purposes. Looks play a large part in purchasing dentures. One feels very awkward walking around without teeth. I wanted them for more than just eating. To spend that much money and they would not even stay put to wear for appearances is LUDICROUS!
Secondly, when I did go to the new dentist to replace what this company failed to do correctly, they clearly stated that the upper teeth SHOULD stay in place REGARDLESS of having lower dentures in or out, if the upper and lower were properly cast and aligned. (Keeping in mind that Louisville never even completed a lower cast!). The new dentist stated that many people remove they lower denture and often just leave the upper in when not eating.
It was stated that if they get the upper mold done to the correct fit, there should be no problems with it staying in. They were right.
When the new dentist completed my upper denture I have NO PROBLEM with it staying IN PLACE and even EATING some items. Unlike the Louisville denture that literally FALLS OUT of my mouth due to it fitting so POORLY! I cannot even smile, let alone talk with it in. (Even with the adhesive glue that they instructed me to use, they still fall out).
I am attaching a video showing the Louisville denture fit and the NEW DENTURE I just had to pour money out to replace. This will help the BBB see the difference for themselves. You will see that the NEW denture fits PERFECTLY without any issues and STAYS PUT TIGHTLY without any movement despite my not having ANY LOWER denture, as Louisville attempted to blame their error on.
I want a full refund to pay toward the new denture I had to buy. Otherwise, I will take this to small claims court AND give them an F rating with the BBB.
Thank you so much. See attached video showing denture fit difference of both that I have purchased. It is the best way to explain my frustration.
Respectfully yours,
**** ** ******
