On March 8, 2022, I have a signed contract and paid a total of $2,500 for Sabo Design Associates to perform new home plans.The following services were included in the contract: • Preliminary Design o Design - Deposit Received • Construction Documents - per Contract amount o Additional Charges to Construction Drawings ? 3 Season Room - Included in Pricing ? Electrical Plan - Included in Pricing o Additional Services ? Site Layout – Preliminary - Included in Pricing ? Print Sets - 6 sets (24x36) 10 sets (11x17) PDF - Included in Pricing I emailed him several times with no reply (May 18, May 25, and June 7th). I have also called his office and left messages with Yvonne, the office manager. I was sent an email on June 20, 2022 Rod stated that " Many factors have changed in the recent 2 months that prohibit me from doing so. Those issues include…my superintendent moving on, an overload of design work from our builders, and changes to my personal situation. I am truly sorry to let you down, but this is a necessary decision for me. I wish you all the luck in the world, and let me know in any way I can assist." I sent him an email on June 21, 2022, requesting a refund as he failed to deliver the items stated in the contract . He did not respond. I had an attorney send him an email on my behalf on July 26, 2022. He did not respond.Business response

Pricing the home was not included in the contract with Sabo Design Associates...see attached. I offered to estimate and build for Ms. ****** under another company I own that has been in business for 35 years, R John Construction, Inc. There was not commitment, nor, contract to bid or build. I was offering to do so, with every intent to build for her. As she mentioned, curcumstances changed for me that required withdrawing from that process. Ms. ****** still owns the plans and has full right to build this home. SDA would accomodate her should she move forward with building the home. Ms. ****** had some challenges that were in process to site the house on the lot, get final septic approval, and negaitiate with Symmes Twp to possiblely acquire additional property.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ******** and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.The statement "Ms. ****** still owns the plans and has full right to build this home" This is not truthful. It is a lie. We did have a contract, and his services were paid in full. I have NEVER received the items listed in the contract and cannot build the home. Small claims court. A copy of the contract is attached as well as an itemized list.Regards,
