I went to Dream Dental to see Dr. Shin Y because she took my insurance which is Atena My Care Ohio Medicaid Medicare for seniors in early July of 2022. My upper dentures are 25 yrs old and I have trouble chewing food. I also needed a bottom back partial plate because I have no teeth in the back and eating was causing gum problems. I received an exam and cleaning in July. After that I continued to return until December 19th 2022 when I brought them home. During that 6 month period I kept getting impressions, filing down, scraping and adjustments which were all sent back out to a lab. She said they would call me when they got them back each time, but I always had to do the calling to check. I complained directly to her about it and she said it was a miss communication. The upper denture was twice as big as my old one [which they already had to go by]. Gagged me and caused sore gums. On Dec. 19th 2022 I brought them home, couldn't wear them. Office closed Dec 23 to Jan 2 2023. Got appt on Jan 9th when I decided I was done with her because she said they had to be that way for my health. I also said they were rough and gritty and she said it was because of all the filling done. I was there from July 2022 to Jan 2023 which was long enough. My other dental work on partials on top and then full denture was all 2 days. Impressions out one day back from the lab the next. Not 7 months! The lower partial was metal with metal clasps. We talked about clear clasps but again a miscommunication. I couldn't wear lower denture, they hurt my other real teeth and gums, too big and heavy metal. They never got them right either. I could have gotten resin or plastic lowers but she refused. I have returned the teeth to the Doctor's office on advice from my insurance company in January and told them to void the invoice which the dentist said they couldn't do. I want them to repay Atena Insurance so I can go to another dentist. Insurance will not pay again for 8 yrs.Business response

We are willing to refund the insurance company. We called and requested directions however we've yet to get clear instructions. Once we get the instructions the payment will be forwarded to the insurance company. Thank youTell us why here...Customer response
