On Sunday, May 29th 2024 I purchased a puppy from this breeder. She gave me the incorrect puppy (the wrong gender). I arrived home and received a text from the breeder that she gave me the wrong animal. She insisted that I drive back there within 24-48 hours to either return or exchange the dog. I requested that at the bare minimum she meet me with the correct dog to make the exchange. However, she said she had no transportation. At this point I wanted my money back and to just return the dog, at which is insisted I return that day to return it or she would not take the dog back (she told me when I picked the dog up I had 14 days to return it if any issues came up). I agreed to make the 7 hour (there and back) drive to return the dog. She then insisted I vaccinate and deworm the animal that was not mine at my expense or she would only refund me $200 and not the $450 I paid for the dog. At this point the conversation had become threatening on her end and I just wanted to return the dog and deal with the matter legally from that point on to get my remaining money. I have spent minimum $80 on gas, about 20 hours traveling and only received $275 back from the woman. At minimum I am owed the remaining $175 from the dog I returned and the $80 in gas. I have attached text messages where she admits her mistake in not checking she had given the proper dog and insists I drive back there immediately.
