      Finally got a refund after filing through small claims court. This seems to be the only way to get it resolved. Bought certificate in 2022, either got denied or ignored with attempts to schedule for several months and several attempts (email, phone, text). We completely lost trust, therefore no way were we getting in a balloon with them. Asked for refund, got many excuses and then ignored. Filed a case, he postponed that every time we got a day away from court. Finally we got our money back and can be done with this company. It was a horrible experience for something that was meant to be exciting and a celebration. He made it about himself and never about the facts or the customers: took all the money upfront, never provided a service, and made it impossible to communicate, when it was time for a refund, made so many excuses that we had no choice but to persue a court case to get our money back.

      We've been in business for over 35 years and have over 10,000 very satisfied customers. I had some serious health issues which had me hospitalized multiple times in 2023. I'm not sure what constitutes a legitimate excuse but being in the hospital seems reasonable. We did our best to keep our customers informed and with the generous help from many of the other pilots in our community we were still able to take care of many of our flights. We are sorry if this was not an option you wanted to use and if we were unable to accommodate you. It was a difficult period and we are sorry for this.

      *** is difficult to work with. Do not pay up front. He canceled 5 times on me. (Twice for weather I understand) After 5 weeks of trying, I finally got the ride after texting him and letting him know I had kept all communications with him and was going to file a small claims case against him. Then I feel like I became a priority and received the ride. After 5 weeks and all the b.s. excuses I wasn't excited any more and had an awkward flight. Just glad I'm finished dealing with ***.

      Spoke with ******** on September 17, 2021 about making arrangements for a hot air balloon ride. He bragged on his track record of safety and having trained/certified other balloon pilots. He covered all the details of how flights were arranged and the process of notification (selecting date(s) in advance plus the day before or day of final touch base for go ahead flight). I totally understood that "Mother Nature" plays a key role and wind speed is the driver of go vs. no go. Using a credit card, I paid $250.00 that day for a flight and a date was selected. From that point forward the cancellations or postponements were the rule. A few were weather related delays, but I would never receive a follow up call to reschedule. When I would call seeking to select another date, there was no return call. This summer, *** informed me he had broken his ankle, but would get one of his other pilots to make the flight. When that day arrived, I again had to be the one to initiate the afternoon text as I was to have a p.m. flight. *** informed me that the pilot who had agreed to take me up had suddenly fallen ill, and he was probably going to require surgery. There have been numerous calm days ******************* come and gone without a word from ********** No back up pilot arrangements offered. The last time I reach out was because of an outstanding fall weekend pending. *** was out of town and wouldn't be back until Monday.I can see per his website reviews that others have taken rides, but the comments are at least a year old. And in reviewing BBB complaints, I'm not alone at having had money taken and no service delivered. On my last text communication with ***, I requested a refund as I'd like to take my business elsewhere. No surprising, I've received no reply.
