Bought a brand new washer paid 1100$ for it. Delivered 2 weeks ago and it has not worked one day. Company will not take back, never said that it was not returnable and they cannot fix it.Business response

Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this matter. Please understand we deeply regret that the customers product is not operating properly. We also understand the aggravation and discord situations such as this can cause. Whirlpool corporation, the product manufacturer per their statutes, require an inspection by their factory authorized technician to determine defects, repair or replacement of a product. We are awaiting the report so we can do our part to resolve this asap. Our sincere apology to the Customer and Family for their inconvenience and loss of use. Better Business Bureau:
We are devastated over this purchase of a brand new Whirlpool washer. It was a birthday gift for my daughter and to date she has not been able to wash any clothes in this machine. She has had a repair person three times at her house on Friday to attempt to repair a brand new Whirlpool washer.Our family had to do all the work and communication with Whirlpool, Basically Massillon Appliance, from whom we purchased this washer brand new for $1183.20, owner has said "he is not going to do anything, not his problem, and he is unwilling to sit on this equipment waiting for Whirlpool to do something."
He should have already picked up the washer after his technician and repair person said that it needed to be returned; instead he told the technician to cut off communication with our family. Wow! Massillon Appliance sold us faulty equipment and refuse to do anything. No other appliance store would have done this. Other future potential customers should be warned about such a shady establishment. They do not stand behind their product.
We cannot afford an attorney and so I am out $1183.20 for a brand new washer that cannot be fixed without resolve. My daughter has no washer to do her laundry in and it has been almost 30 days. Nowhere on receipt does it say faulty equipment cannot be returned. What if this was you? What would you do about this terrible matter? Why should a place of business be allowed to get away with such practices?
The owner says he is sorry. He is not or he would have already did the right thing and return the faulty washer to whirlpool.
This matter is in no way resolved. We appreciate what the BBB does and are hoping that you are able to help us.
