May 2022 I hired Charles ***** for two claims I had submitted to ***** ****. Which ***** **** was little to almost no help at all. So Charles went to work to Fix roof put on new shingles and to fix flat roof and seal it. My issues come to when it was complete I started getting leak in the front living areas. I told him he came out do believe it was October 2022. He sealed what he thought was the problem. Stopped for a few. Then I started getting leaks in the garage. November he was notified. his claim he was out of town.. moving ahead I called him then sent text he will not respond. Now the leak is back in living room this all has to do with the peak over garage and part of the house. I want it fixed so that I can get ceilings fixed. I took out a personal loan He quoted me a price of 14,725.00 cost to me just the roof 21,303. I feel that is a lot of money to still have leaks. New leaks never have I had a leak in the garage. part of living room ceiling was replaced in 2007 now I am back to scare one. I want the leaks fixed and we have ah some ok days for him to come and fix, I am disabled living on fixed income. No reason to be treated this way.

Hello I do apologize for taking so long to get back to you I just been really busy

I took this job on and I gave the homeowner the option of purchasing the material.

The first day I found out that he bought the wrong size post and turn I had to load up all of these post and drive them to the h*** ****t with me and my guys my guys dig the holes while I spent my time and my vehicle a hour and a half getting material correct, we dug all the hoes the first day and we laid out 5 post but everything was already set ready to go

we had a rainstorm which made me have to dig deeper because we're putting concrete and post and don't want it to throw and cracked so I had to dig deeper not to mention that the material that he bought was not what I quoted him for as far as labor the material he bought made it more labor-intensive because of all the things that I had to do on top of the material being subpar materials. same thing that we talked about installing had post that have slots in them and then individual planks that for between a to and bottom rail that made up 6ft so that the panels.

the homeowner tried to save money by buying a cheaper vinyl fence, which made the labor more involved, had to charge more money. that had stationary 6 ft panels that had to be attached to post that and four different locations with four brackets attached, and positioned properly, labor more intensive then what was quoted.
I spent my whole day out there I'm a business I paid $250 to rent a post hole digger to dig the holes I have two guys out there I had to ride to the **** ****t at the load up material to take it back because I bought the wrong stuff have to spend time at the **** ***** that day I drive my vehicle and you will notice in all the pictures the only delay is because he didn't want to pay the extra labor that was going to be needed to get his fence done and I gave him a really good price and then he bought cheaper material so I had to charge anymore in the labor because it was going to make it more time that I was going to have to spend putting up this cheaper he has water all in his backyard is a full swamp there was a lot of things that was involved so we're I mean I haven't sent him anything back because frankly he kind of owes me money but I was trying to be nice and give him a $250 you no refund but here's the pictures.

As you can see there is four places that you have to put brackets on and then line up the fence post and slide it over to the in-between distance here more labor-intensive.

There was 6 post set all the holes and the layout was done the first day then we got rain and this is what we were dealing with what the puddles in that and then I calculated what it was going to be extra for the stuff that he had purchased and he decided because I had laid it out already I done no work for him so he could do it itself so I'm going to be paying for my time so please contact me once you read all of this so you need any questions answered and you need to go over anyting please let me know I have the contract here also

contact me if you need anything else.

Where was there seven hours I spent a hour and a half getting the proper material because they ordered the wrong stuff so we set the whole job up we set the first pose we lined everything up for him that is why it was able for him to do it 50 man hours with 2 people, and if it was that easy when he had hired me to do the job he told me that his son-in-law was lazy so that’s why they wasn’t going to do it themselves so now because I laid it out helped him out I had to pay for the the the whole hog that dug the holes we got it straight for him dug all the other holes spent time out of my day to drive my vehicle over to **** ***** to exchange first I had to load up the material and exchange the material which took an hour and a half out of my day so yes we worked 5 1/2 hours but I was there for seven so I am prepared to give you a $250 refund  out of a courtesy, I allowed you to buy the material and I gave you a break on the labor and you bought the cheapest material out there that made the labor more intensive here I am thinking I’m a give you a break and you gonna buy the right stuff because I allowed you to buy the material and you bought the cheapest stuff so I am prepared to give you a $250 refund, you really owe me, this is me trying to be nice and giving, and people think they can just take, no more. 250 is my final offer.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

DCD showed up at 11am and left at 4:30 pm a TOTAL of 5.5 hours. DCD drilled only half of the post holes. We laid out and drilled the remainder, The fence we used is MOT 'cheap', just different. For 5 hours work $275 is fair. DCD owes me $1250.

      Regards,
