I got an oil change at Expresso Car Wash a few months ago and it cost me $26.66. Went in this week for another oil change and suddenly now it was 30 bucks. Found out they put a 4 dollar tip in without my consent.Business response

On 10/2 i went to get my car washed in Expresso car wash. I always keep my truck in a pole barn. Its brand new and was never in an accident. I hardly take it out, only to go camping.. On 10/2/2022 I took it to the car wash so i could put it away for the winter. I did not go anywhere else except to espresso car wash on ********* **,. While checking my truck I found the right bumper area pushed in. Ive had problems years ago at this car wash, with scratches to my both cars the same day. When i brought it to their attention, They said It didn't happen here. I knew it did cause I had the same scrathces on both cars in the same place. I couldn't do anything about that cause they said I couldn't prove it. I thought after 5 years, I d give them another chance because this is closer to my house. Again, I've experienced the same situation. They said it wasn't the car wash that caused it, I haven't been anywhere else to get an pushed in bumper, except there. I thought they would at least go half and half with me, but ***** the Vice President said its not their fault. It seems like its never there fault. They said to claim it on my insurance, but why should i when it happen there. I don't mind paying half but they out right said its not there fault and they could get away with it cause they said there is no proof it happened there. Its a shame, I'm on social security and this is how They run their business. Its a shame If you read some of their reviews, people have complained that accidents have happened there, including a fend coming of and scratches on their cars, but its never their fault. At least be honest enough and pay halfBusiness response

In response to ID ******** The customer states their vehicle is hardly taken out of a pole barn, and it has never been in an accident. I have no reason to believe this is not true. However, we have the vehicle in our wash tunnel for approximately 2 minutes. Furthermore, the customer is in the vehicle while going through. After washing 100's of cars before and after this vehicle without incident, I have no evidence that any equipment broke/failed in any way. The type of damage described would have had required loud blunt force, which the customer did not hear. I cannot in good conscience pay for damages (half or full) that does not occur on site. While I am not going to attempt to guess where the damage occurred, any customer coming in for a car wash implies that the vehicle was in fact dirty. I have no idea where the vehicle was in the 23 hours and 58 minutes, or weeks/months prior to visiting our ********* site. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, when in question, the customers insurance company should step up for their client. If the customer submits the claim, their insurance company will investigate and if they find we are at fault we always pay for the damage. Please submit to the insurance company as they are always welcome to investigate any of our sites as all equipment is *** certified.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:I knew they were going to say that cause they never want to take responsibility. My trick front end is over 4ft high. No car could hit it, no scratches pushed in both sides left more than the other. The only place it was at was the car wash. No where else. I shouldn't have to put a claim into my insurance company. They should have to pay for it. I was willing to go half but they are too greedy to except that. Sad that they won't take responsibility for this. Cause I'm 100 percent sure it happened there. I take very good care of my car, to say that it could've happened some where else is degrading.
Sincerely,
**** ******
