Paid deposit to the company. The painters were inexperienced, very rude and did minimal work. One worker was very rude using vulgar language. They brought no supplies. The owner had them prepare a list of supplies. The job was for painting exterior of home. They refused to use a ladder for the second story. They brought in a lift bucket that they were unable to use for the second story. They spent two hours trying to position the bucket lift. They did significant damage to the lawn and landscape. We called the owner to have him come to the house since he left both inexperienced painters unsupervised. He met with both workers for several minutes and both workers said they could not do the job and they walked off the job. We wanted the company to finish the job as indicated in the contact. I won small claims judgement against the company and owner to get most of my deposit of $1,835 plus property damages on October 4, 2023. I am currently working with the court to have the judgment paid. Most like a lien or garnishment will be needed as indicated by the court. We paid the deposit on May 15, 2023. Job was started on July 25 with very little done. Workers walked off the job on the morning of July 26 after they were unable to position the lift bucket. No work was done on day 2.In over 45 years of home ownership, I have never had any unresolved disputes with a contractor or needed to file a small claim in the courts. Definitely the worst experience we have ever had with any company we have dealt with. A lesson learned do not pay a deposit in advance and ask who will do the painting. The owner said he had no other painters who could do the job. We were surprised when we met with the owner to get a quote that he was not the painter.
