Recently I ordered a nice wood bed for my new house, it needed to be tweaked up a notch to match the other items in the room. I ordered a Can oh Varathane in the ******************* shade and got started with the sanding right away. I applied the Varathane and waiting for it to dry like the instructions say, and upon my surprise, the color is completely off from the pictures, the can and online. Needless to say, I ruined the whole thing, the product in the can was a grey blackish color that was not what I wanted or ordered. I called customer service and they let me know that sometimes the shades may be perfect.Total disappointment and dissatisfactionBusiness response

We have been in communication with the customer and also have received photos from what was indicated to us as the stained application.
The stains seen on the wood are consistent with mold or mildew in the wood and are not that of a stain application. Further, the discoloration seen *************** does not match the coloration of the stain itself. In the photos of the product that were provided to us, the outside of the label is stained with smudges of wood stain (likely from the application), and the color of these matches the intended stain color.
From the information that we have been provided, we have no reason to conclude that the product used was defective in any way.
