      My mother has a Lease through Honda of Mentor. She lost her license August of 2022 due to medical reasons, she also has Dementia and has been declared Incompetent. My sister was in contact with Nick several times, he said since there was no POA on her financials due to her owning nothing that the Incompetency form would would satisfy. When I arrived Nick was busy so I had the pleasure of dealing with Steve Sanders. He looked put out, and bothered that he had to deal with me right off the bat. After driving an hour to handle the situation in the proper manor, with all the correct paperwork, that he wouldn't even look at. He said I'm not taking the car, I'm protecting the dealership. I asked of what, as my mother is the only one on the lease. He was well aware that she has NOTHING! And therefor was no Executor for her. He said you can take it to another dealership I'm sure they'd be happy to take it, but I'm not. Then Steve says maybe default and have the car repossessed? I can see how eager they are to help customers at Honda of Mentor. Anyone that has taken care of a family member with Dementia knows how difficult this is, these ignorant individuals at the dealership I wouldn't recommend or send my dog too. They lack every single thing customer service is about, and they should be ashamed of themselves. My mother has owned a Honda her entire life, if she was in her right mind she'd be disgusted by this!!! Clearly I see now why they only have a 1 star rating. Buy elsewhere, clearly they couldn't give a **** less about you as a customer.

      Do not buy a car or get service from this dealership. Their service manager Gary ****** is rude and not helpful at all. I bought a brand new 2016 honda pilot in March of 2016 with heated seats. Because it was spring, summer and fall, they were never turned on until Janurary of 2017. Guess what? The driver's seat heater never worked. It was brought in for a diagnosis and it was supposedly fixed in January of 2017 until it was turned on again it November of 2017 and it was once again serviced and "fixed". It was then fixed for a third time in January of 2019. A week apart the passenger seat was also serviced for not working. In total, I have brought in my car to get serviced on the heated seats 5 times and they are incapable of fixing it. I had even asked at some point for a whole new seat and for them not to fix the existing seat but they denied it. Yes, Gary ****** said no. The last service that was done was out of warranty and Gary the butt wipe gave my husband a very hard time and told him this is the last time they will fix the heated seats as it is out of warranty at this point. My car was also taken in for recall in 2021 and 2022 and the heated seats were brought up and we were told they would not fix them. I took it back in 2023 to complain about the seats again and they refused. The general manager Greg Mason was not willing to even try to help with the issue. Yupp, the other butt wipe. He doesn't even have a business card. I have contacted american honda for being sold a brand new car with defective seats I paid extra for. I also plan on taking legal measures in this matter.

      My elderly mother recently bought a 2012 Honda Civic for $12k from this dealer. Within the first week, she realized that the brakes were not working properly. She took the car back to the dealer within the 30 day warranty period, and they told her the brakes were fine. She's since had 2 mechanics tell her that both front and rear brakes need work, the sway bars, bushings, rods, and ball joints all need replacing. She called Honda of Mentor and they refuse to do anything about it. She is 84 years old on a fixed income and cannot afford the $1500+ dollars in repairs. Shame on Honda of Mentor...

      If I could give MINUS zero stars I would! My family member brought in their 2017 Honda Ridgeline for a repairs that were under warranty, as well as for a recall. The service rep was rude, unhelpful and had a "don't bother me" attitude. After several days in the shop, (no loaner car even offered) there was visible, NEW damage to a taillight, scratches on the body, and other problems. When confronted, the manager DENIED ANY WRONGDOING. He essentially called my family member a liar. I was witness to the whole conversation and could not believe how rude the manager was! Please do NOT go to Honda of Mentor. You will NOT be treated fairly!

      Horrendous Customer service. Service writers are extremely rude, short, and will blame you for damage before an inspection is even completed. My car was approved for warranty repairs ( my car is less then 3 years old). The service writer very aggressively blamed me for abusing my car, and even ended up hanging up on me. Also after a week of not being offered a loaner or rental, I requested for one and was promptly told by the service manager that I needed to be patient and he wouldn’t give me a loaner. Still never offered to get me a rental even. Mind you this is a warranty repair. After 3 weeks I got my car back never being offered a rental or loaner. They also ignored me and gave no update when the final parts arrived, calling me only an hour before closing finally that my car was done. When I arrived to get my car I was greeted with an eye roll my advisor turning away. At no point we’re they welcoming, reassuring, or made an effort to seem like they wanted to actually service my car. Also don’t ask anything from an advisor that’s not assigned to you. They will get snotty and snappy with you for asking any general question. Ask for Scott, he is amazing. Adam and Jennifer will be quite rude with you.
