On Aug 5th i paid 50% down $2711 and signed a contract. He came out once and started to line things up, then never came back. He promised he'd be back, once with a machine to level, another with gravel, then the excuse was gravel couldn't get delivered. I have emailed, texted messaged him via Facebook both on his private and business account asking for my money back. I have sent 2 requests that's expired and sent a 3rd via cashapp how I paid him asking for it back. I've received nothing but excuses. Hes promised to return my money and then doesn’t. My first route is to submit here. If nothing can be resolved my next route will be small claims.Initial Complaint

On March 5th 2022 signed a contract for this contractor to install sidewalk and driveway extension, gave him a deposit of $1082.50 for the project. Estimated start date was to be April 13th 2022 I contacted him that week he stated we were on schedule he showed up on the 15th of April for one hour and dug up my yard than nothing for two weeks. Finally made contact he showed back up and spent another hour to dig some more and push around some stone. Then nothing finally made contact to let him know that I would find someone else to do the work he sent me a text on May 23rd 2022 telling me he would bring me the complete deposit, since then he will not answer the phone or any text.
