Attached, please find written communication between myself and the dealership regarding purchase of a vehicle without keys to unlock or lock the driver side door. September 4, 2023 From: ****** **** **: Honda of Middleburg Heights, Ohio Subject: Purchase of **** *** ****** *** ******************, Aug 23, 23 Re: Set of keys not unlocking or locking the driver side door The vehicle driver side door was ALREADY unlocked when my wife drove off the vehicle from the ***** dealership. To our dismay, we were given a set of keys from the sales person that DO NOT unlock the driver side door, nor the trunk (UNHEARD of!). This should have DISCLOSED by law. Jamie of sales said she was not aware of that & that it was a service responsibility. Several messages were left to her and to her mgr with no response. I've been getting the runaround, outraged and frustrated for being ignored! More so, it is unethical and not acceptable! Action needs to be taken. All we need is a set of keys to unlock the driver side door. Please give me a call or send me an email. Your urgency over this matter is appreciated. Thank you, ****** * **** ****   September 4, 2023 Message from Honda of Middleburg Heights wrote: I have left you a message stating this was not something I could take care of. You purchased a 2010 Kia and signed and as is paperwork. I have driven the car and we discounted the vehicle to fit your needs. We can cut you a new key at your cost. The vehicle was discounted over $500. September 5, 2023 Response from ****** **** to Honda of Middleburg Heights The so-called discount barely covers the cost of replacing the exhaust system that we had to deal with. Not only was it a health hazard due to fumes (a safety issue) but also loud! It cost us $1368.93 to replace it at *****. And yet you are saying that we would have to pay for a new key to unlock the driver side door?? Unbelievable and unheard of!!

I am sorry to hear about your experience.  I will authorize the replacement of the key at no cost to you all.  I will have someone reach out to you to co-ordinate this.  Regards, ******* *****

We took a 2018 Honda Accord in for service on the air conditioning. This model has a known defect in the condenser. Service dept. according to a (sound diagnosis) stated the vehicle had an expansion o ring leaking, which was replaced and system recharged. Driving home the air conditioning barely worked and I called to return vehicle when my work schedule allowed. Upon another inspection it was determined that indeed the condenser was bad and it was replaced by Honda at no charge. Dealership refuses to refund money paid for the misdiagnosed repair. Car has extremely low mileage and service dept. was advised to check condenser from the get-go, but according to the tech's ear, chose to replace other p***s instead.

The vehicle was in 6/8/23 with 34,370 miles for recalls and A/C inspection. Dan found the leak to be from the Expansion Valve O-Rings which is located at the firewall (below the windshield). He replaced the O-Rings and filled the system.

The vehicle returned 6/21/23 at 34,874 miles for inoperable A/C, and Dan found leak from the condenser which is located at the front of the vehicle.

It is possible the refrigerant leaked out from the expansion valve before it reached the condenser. Therefore, there would be no indication the condenser was leaking until after the expansion valve leak was repaired. Either way, the vehicle had two leaks in the A/C system. One was covered under warranty (condenser), and the other (expansion valve o rings) was not.

We feel that the correct repairs were made to this vehicle and that nothing we performed was not a necessary repair for a properly functioning air conditioning system.

Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions.

              Regards,

              ******* ****
