I have service on my dryer performed by the owner Bianca on my dryer for q slipped dryer belt on March 3,2022. She fixed the belt but determined the door switch was out. She stated my husband could change out, which we did. But one week later the drum was back to not working. Took her suggestion to turn and it worked, however today the same issue. Set another service appt for March 24th but then I receive a text:Hello We don't think our company is a good fit for your service needs. We recommend following up with a local appliance repair company. Now this was only a matter of a 3 weeks and I get this message instead of coming out to check on the issue.I always try to support independent women and their business but for this incident, I would NEVER recommend and told people that I know in Middletown not to use her for repairs.Use someone that would at least honor their work in the same month, instead of pushing you off on someone else.

She Fixed It Appliance Repair Service, LLC Response

    03/30/2022

She Fixed It Appliance Repair Service (SFI) was hired by ***************, by way of her sister's referral. Her complaint: Dryer starts and heats but doesn't turn. *************** prepaid the diagnostic fee. Upon arrival, *************** then explains that her husband figured out why the dryer drum wasn't turning and that he attempted to change the dryer belt, but with no success. In addition, she communicated another complaint: the dryer doesn't power on anymore. We completed the job we were hired to do. As a courtesy, SFI investigated her second complaint. We diagnosed the door switch as faulty and gave *************** an estimate of repair. *************** didn't appear to agree with the estimate, so we mentioned that her husband could change it out. *************** motioned for that option instead. SFI charged *************** only for installing the belt she provided. SFI also reimbursed ******************* prepaid diagnostic fee. As before mentioned, we did not charge *************** for an additional diagnostic. Later that evening, *************** left a very positive review thanking SFI for our service and that she and her husband purchased a door switch, installed it, and that their dryer was operating great! A few weeks later, *************** scheduled another appointment (no prepay), complaint: Dryer isn't turning. SFI contacted *************** via text communication to gather information. Keeping in mind ************** was in the dryer last, we wanted to make sure the belt didn't slip off. We asked *************** to turn the drum, and to let us know what she heard or saw. She communicated that she didn't see how that was going to resolve anything. Our response was that we were merely gathering information. In our industry it is referred to as triage. *************** communicated that she was not at home, but that she would check it out when she returned. The following morning, SFI was met with an inbox message, sent overnight, from ***************, stating: "Hello, I apologize for the late message. Just got home, turned the drum from the inside and it starting working again. Not sure what miracle happened and that caused it to work." It was followed up with an appointment cancellation. *************** didn't wait for our professional opinion of the issue, but assumed that the problem was solved. If *************** would not have acted hastily, we would have been able to inform her that, she was experiencing an abnormal operation, and that it had nothing to do with our service. If our work was flawed, ******************* dryer wouldn't have turned at all. *************** has another issue with her dryer, faultless of SFI. Our systems and processes are not in agreement with customers who schedule and cancel and then reschedule. Our customers trust our expertise and delight in our recommendations before making decisions. Yes, SFI communicated to *************** that our company was not a good fit. SFI resolved that *************** would benefit better from another service company. ******************* referrals or in this case, lack of referrals, are completely her choice, and honored by SFI.

Wow, a lot more said here than in text correspondence previously" *************** didn't appear to agree with the estimate," THOSE WORDS WERE NOT STATED. The price but it's it's simple switch out so of course we would do.Then, She communicated that she didn't see how that was going to resolve anything-again another assumption made. When what was stated"Hi there, I stepped away from home. But I didn't try to do that, not sure if we could get it corrected if it did.I did hold the door switch in, it came on like it was going to run a normal cycle but no spinning."Hastily waiting when even with us trying to get it working and wanting another appointment but recommended someone else. Lots of additional things said now but All and all a local appliance store repair came out and fixed with another belt and no issues so recommended someone local was a win/win.
