We hired **** ***** ( Bryer Co.) to replace siding on our house. The siding is warping / oil canning) and some pieces have fallen off. I contacted josh and told him about the warping. He said it will be week before he could get here, This was on 8/8/22. About 2 weeks later I called back,8/19 ( No answer ) I left a message for him to come over the next morning because the siding was falling off the house. He never returned my call. Instead, he threatened me through email never to call him again or he would file charges against me for harassment. He refused to show up or warranty the siding. I contacted the manufacture of the Siding and told them of the issue. They asked me to bring them a piece of the siding from the house so they could inspect it. After the manufacture had their quality department look it over, they gave me a report of the siding being installed incorrectly. I was told to contact the BBB and file a complaint. If there is no response within 2 weeks I will file a claim in court.Business response

Since our roofing and siding install for **** **** we have been out to his property at least six different times. Some of these visits have been totally phantom, such as "all of our shingles have lifted up and i can here them in my bedroom". After inspection those phantom lifted shingles were perfectly fine and **** **** was hearing a downspout that was only partially adhered hitting his siding. The reason it was partially adhered is because that area was still being worked on. We even on one particular visit replaced an aluminum fascia that wasn't even in our scope of work. That visit was well after our completion and still I did not charge him for that. Every time i send guys out there **** **** tries to hire them for cash to do other work around his property. There is always something he is trying to get for free, and quite honestly makes all of us very uncomfortable. In the latest issue **** **** did reach out to me in regards to a siding issue. I told him during that phone conversation to give me a week or so and I'll be out to check it out. Before even a week had past on 8/18/2022 @ 8:05pm make leaves me a violent, threatening, voicemail which i have made the local authorities aware of demanding I be at his property by 8:00AM the next morning or he was coming to find me. That's where it ends there will be no visits, inspection, or help from me of any kind once violence and cuss out sessions are left on a voicemail not to mention not very smart on his part to say the least. I would be happy to forward his voice on his recording, left to me. My email response to that voicemail was exactly as I have wrote in this response. He had absolutely no reason or right to do that, I have only ever responded to any and all issues **** **** has brought up to me. Most of those times were same day at the latest next day service. He cannot deny that for a minute. Just because I have done a project for you doesn't mean you own me and can bully and threaten time lines. **** **** is one of hundreds of customers his lack of patience and violent temper has him exactly where he is today. Its not **** ***** that has done this but **** **** himself. The allegations of siding problems are completely exaggerated and any that may exist could easily be resolved in less than a day. His siding was installed exactly as I have installed for the last 20+ yrs. My positive reviews on BBB, Angies List, Google, and Owens Cornings websites speak for themselves. I have never nor will I ever not take care of my customers issues, this is a special case and a special kind of customer. All that being said I would still try to look at he issues at hand with **** ****, but for the record, that meeting will be recorded.Customer response

I had called several time after the job was so called
completed. Once the call was about the roof flapping . Come to find out
the down spout was not attached correctly or not enough. They were NOT
still working on the house. They were paid in full as I was told the job
was completed.
I had several calls to them for the siding above the garage that kept
coming loose. This happened at least 4 times and i asked to have it
removed and redone. They did not do that they just kept nailing it every
time till that stopped happening. That looks unprofessional also.
I also called them about a piece of siding that was not nailed on the
lower north side of the house as the piece slid over so far you could
see the tyvek .
As for the fascia it was damaged from the tree that caused the original
problem and as a quote from Bryer, everything that was damaged was to be
replaced as per the insurance company.
When the guys were here working on the house **** was not around 99% of
the time. I asked *** the foreman on the job about getting a quote for
my barn he said I could ask **** for a quote. Then *** and one of the
other workers said they could do this as a side job. I said I was ok
with that so get some numbers together and we can go from there. *** and
the other fellow gave me their phone number so I could call them.
This past summer it was very hot and a piece of siding started to fall
off the house, just hanging there. I called **** , he answered I told
him what was going on and he said he would be out in about a week. At
that time I told him about 1/2 of the siding on the house was warping.
He said it may be because or the color. I said It should not matter what
color it is , it should not do that. So over a week went by and the one
piece siding had fallen off the house. After looking at the siding I
noticed it was not nailed. and whoever worked on that side of the house
had used caulk to hold it in place. I called **** again and he did not
answer. I did leave him a voice mail and wanted him out the next day to
do something.
Well instead of him calling back he decided to notify me by email
threatening to call the police if I contact him again. I believe this
is just a reason to avoid correcting the issue.
This siding had a 25 year warranty, but due to the fact it was installed
wrong that warranty does not exist. **** or his company are not
certified to install siding as per the
"Vinyl Siding Institute"; I did not know this at the time of the quote.
After several problems with this siding and the calls I have made to
complain I should not have to wait for weeks or months for a response
to get this problem rectified. I can be a patient person if he would of
been out in a week, but it was longer and another problem came up with
the siding. I still have a piece of siding laying on the deck that had
fallen off.
Since **** or his workers never called or showed, I though I would
contact the manufacture of the Siding. They asked me to fill out a
report, take pictures and once that was done they needed me to remove a
piece of the warped siding ( OIL CANNING is what they call it). And
bring it to their facility for the Quality department to look over.
I was called just a few days later and I was told the siding was
installed incorrectly and all that is in the report I will attach to
this email. To this day I do not know if The Bryer Co. or **** has been
bonded or insured for his work. But the siding manufacturer stated this
siding will not go back to its original shape and will need to be replaced.Business response
