I called the lady about the car wash. She told me it was card swipe and that I had to press the stop button at the bottom to turn it off. The sign on the bottom of the box was so small I could not make it out. I had first swiped my card for what I thought was a $3 to wash my car. I then told her that I got home and there was a $10 hold on my card. Then the next day there was a $14.99 charge on my account. I went right back up there took a pick of the machine that i used I had to pull the picture way in to even read the press stop when finished. But I think I deserve a refund that I had never been there before.

Hello, The customer entered our self serve wash just after 6:00 pm on September 04, 2023.  The self serve bays accept cash or card.  A minimum cash payment or charge of $3 is required to start the wash.  That initial payment provides 3 minutes of time where water, pre-soak, soap, a rinse agent or air dryer can be selected.  All time used is charged at approximately $.97/minute.  When using cash, the machine stops automatically after approximately 3 minutes.  When a card (debit or credit) is swiped there is a $10 hold placed on the card for approximately 24 hours to make sure the card is valid,  then the machine charges the card for the actual time used.  In this case, the customer used 15 minutes of time.  He swiped his card at 6:08 and replaced the air dryer in the cradle at 6:23.  In the customer provided photo and by his own admission, the sign reads, "Press Stop When Finished."  In my opinion, no refund is due this customer as he was charged accurately for the services he used.

Hello,  The information I have shows that the customer was in the self serve bay using the equipment for more than the 3 minutes he claims.  I have attached the system generated report showing the time of the card swipe to the end time-for a total of more than 15 minutes.   In addition, I have video showing the same.  The video clip is too large to send.  The video time and the system generated time are not in exact sync (approximately one minute off), they both show that the customer was in the bay using the equipment for the 15 minutes that he was billed.  Again, he was billed accurately for the time used.
