On December 30th, I paid owner, DBA Buckey air conditioning & heating, half up front for an install of new hvac system (heat exchanger, coil, compressor, all parts—pic of receipt available) at my property. We had back and forth communication about the quality of work and timeliness of completion, and ultimately, I wanted to be done with the company. He finished work on Jan 21 and I paid the second half. When he finished, owner told me to o call him before I turned the AC system on. When it became warm enough to warrant turning on the AC, I called repeatedly but was ignored. In my same neighborhood, I saw his business lawn sign going up with the business number listed: +1 ***** ******** — the same number I have been calling. I was concerned that if I turned on the system, I might damage something or void a warranty. I took numerous pictures and contacted other hvac specialists. As it turns out, *****, the owner, thought I would sell the house and might not find out that he didn’t actually replace the coil which is out of sight behind a panel. The old coil isn’t even compatible with the outside condenser unit. In other words, he charged me for items on an invoice and scammed me because I can’t use the air conditioner. I’ve texted, called and left voice mails repeatedly and he has chosen to ignore all efforts to address or rectify this problem.

Good evening, as outlined on your invoice signed by you, you paid us for a diagnosis, we provided said diagnosis there will be no refund issued unless by your home warranty company who has informed us they finally found a company that would run a call to your home and you did not pay another diagnostic fee as it was already paid to us, your attempt to collect it is nothing more then you trying to gain something for free simply because you have an issue with you home warranty company. Your home warranty company asked us to run a service call well outside of our service area, that call being yours. They stated they could not find a local company to go to your home, they did not elaborate why. We informed you as well that you home was a good 30 miles outside our service area. We had personal business thing (A vehicle purchase) to make in your area that day and we advised your home warranty company that if we run the call we MUST get an authorization that day for the repair or we would NOT be able to return on another day for one call as it would not be financially cost effective for us, they AGREED. I personally stood in your home after i submitted the auth request and told you i would be in the area for about 2-3 hours and if they approved your repair wile i was in the area i would be happy to return.

They gave the auth 2 days later, we told them at that point we would not be returning

This is an untrue statement, this man stood in my home and told me he would be back to finish the repair once the home warranty company approved the claim. When I called this man to remind him of the appointment as I had to do the first time, he stated he would be in my area on Friday. On the day that was scheduled he ignored my phone calls, when the insurance company called him back he hung up on them. I am sure the insurance company would have all of these calls recorded. Not sure how we can want something for nothing, when we paid for the diagnosis and the insurance company pays for the repairs.
