      I reached out to Dave H**** of Dave H**** Electric for a whole home Generac unit. He came out and quoted us and said we needed to pay $6500 for our deposit to order the unit. I have then been told for the last 6 months that Generac was the issue. I reached out to Generac to confirm and they said that was not the case. Every time I reached out to Dave H**** I was given some sort of excuse and now I am getting no response. My next step is to contact an attorney if this is not resolved.

      We had hurst come to are restaurant to do electrical work for ovens . He wired the outlet wrong and totaled 1 of the 2 units and damaged the other. He stated that his insurance would cover it and he would call and start a claim . That’s been over 3 months and he has blocked us from calling and social media messages as well. We did see his wife a few days ago and asked her to have him call or stop in and see us . We do not wish to hire an attorney but that may be are next step. Bottom line we can not afford to eat a 8000 dollar loss . As all small businesses we are struggling to survive.

      Ordered ******* Whole House generator on June 5, 2022 from Dave Hurst Electric. In past 7 months, we sent over 2 dozen emails, text and phone calls requesting a)the PO# he placed with ******* [so we could deal with them directly] and b) an INSTALLATION Date. D Hurst rarely replied and never provided specific requested information. We have no idea what's going on. Seeking full reimbursement for the $6,500 downpayment for equipment. Complaints filed with Attorney General, Police and *******.

      We contracted Dave Hurst to purchase and install a whole house ******* ******** 22kW generator for a down payment of $6595.99 (cost of generator) and an additional $3695.71 to be paid once installed. We were told at that time, that it would be about 4 months for delivery. We have since called, left voice messages and texted him multiple times for an update: 8/16/22 - no answer, 8/29/22 - no answer, 2 calls on 8/30/22 - no answer, Called 8/31/22 (8 weeks since last call) Dave Hurst called back and told us, "he didn't want to have this conversation, but it would be another 6 - 8 weeks before delivery d/t the manufacturer". We asked about a refund and he said "he couldn't do that because he had already sent the money to *******". We called again on 10/27/22 (12 weeks total). no answer. 01/09/23 called both numbers and left messages, and text messages. no answer. 1/12/22 wife, ****** called 3 times, sent text message and left voice messages for a return call to update on our generator. no response . this has been 22 weeks. on 1/16/23, called and left message for return call. 1/17/23 called again and left voice message for a return call.

      March 3, 2021 Paid $5000.00 for a Generac standby generator. Was told we would have it in 6 months. The contractor was to order it and install it. As of today April 1, 2022 we have not received it. The contractor has not been answering when I contact him. I contacted him and told him I wanted a full refund and he did not respond. I also filed a police report.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********* and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. 

      We received the generator today. Please close my complaint as resolved at this time.

      I bought a ******* whole house generator from Dave Hurst Electric last year. It didn’t arrive till April. Since it’s been installed it’s been inoperable more than it has been operable. The first time a critter got into the electrical panel and fried it. It took awhile but they replaced the circuit board. Since then for no reason the generator will come on and won’t shut off even though there’s no outage. The biggest problem is getting them to service it. The last time it happened was Nov 1 st and they said fuses were blown. They had to order them. They came in Nov 9th since then I keep getting a run around about getting it fixed. I’ve been told several times they’ll be out but they’re no shows. I just want the generator fixed so it works properly, if they have to bring in someone from ******* to get it resolved but as it stands I’ve wasted my money.

      We have been working with ******* about this unit that was shipped to site incomplete. missing panels for this unit, in the mean time it was operated with out the exhaust shields and had damage the controller attached to the generator. the other problem became when the small tree frogs have crawled into the conduits and shorted out the transfer switch controller. Now between all this the transfer switch has blown the fuses (WE ARE HAVEING HARD TIME GETTING). I have ordered them and had told *** **** home we heading his direction and day the was set up (mean time) opened the packed and not the ones that was ordered they where incorrect, we are now wait to receive to correct ones.

       

      I totally understand his frustration on this, i am more them happy to get this fixed, but I can't control some of the products and when they will show up.
