I Hired Viking Glass to re-glue a full length mirror (9 feet by 4 feet) that was beginning to come unglued from my wall ever so slightly at the top of my wall. I called mid-January and spoke to David about the issue I needed resolved. I was extremely transparent with how big the mirror was and inquired about the process. I followed up the initial conversation with emailing photos of the mirror. There were two men who came to my home 01/31 @ 1PM. The job took 40 min. and I was charged $100 to re-glue the mirror. The process of removing the mirror/reinstalled it went smoothly UNTIL I asked why the mirror looks like it has a huge gap (where there was no gap prior, now, there is a gap big enough in the middle of the mirror I can fit my finger through) The tech said it was because I had a foundation issue with my wall. This was never mentioned about a structural issue until I asked about the finished product. The tech also never did any formal tests to determine a structural issue. Upon further inspection, the tech used SO much adhesive AND the amount of adhesive was inconsistent throughout the entire mirror that not only are there large gaps but it looks like a mountain, where each spot of glue is so uneven. I called David and expressed my concerns about the structure of the mirror and the safety of it breaking if my small children (3 & 1.5) accidentally push into the mirror. The first thing he said to me was that his tech was correct about the mirror being pushed against a foundation issue and that he'll get me a quote for a new mirror. David didn't even take 20 seconds to actively listen to the concern I have or examine my wall but instead he cut me off from speaking many times and told me he was unwilling to work with me. He stated he'd refund my money (haven't received any) and I can find someone else. I have emailed him twice with no response. I was quoted $1800-2200 to fix VGS mistake. The concern I have to the safety of my children is unsettling that VGS caused.Business response
