The back ramp door of my enclosed trailer fell off when I was loading a 400 lb crate into the trailer using a pallet ***** I purchased a brand new trailer from Leonard truck and trailer two months and one week prior. The welds failed and looking at the welds you can clearly see that there is no penetration. So whoever welded this trailer didnt know how to weld. They refuse to take the trailer back regardless if its unsafe or not. They do not stand behind the products that they sell. And Leonard truck and trailer could care less if this trailer falls apart and kills a family of five going down the road. Also when I bought the trailer the key never came with it I called them 3 times and sent text messages to my salesman ****** with no response. So I had to look up the manufacture of the lock and purchase a replacement key on my own. Also this is the only company Ive ever met that tells you one price then when you get there tries to tell you theyre charging you freight. Overall Leonard truck and trailer does not care about their customers only cares about the Almighty dollar. ******* has a better return policy.I paid over nine grand for the trailer and only had it two months and one week before it started falling apart. And their resolution was to Band-Aid the trailer together not caring if it fell apart going down the road and killed a family.Business response

My father in law passed away and we didn't even know he had purchased it. He took it back for warrenty work early last year and for whatever reason never picked it back up and passed away in September. They have been charging $35 a day in storage ever since.The sales manager is rude, hostile, and condescending. We are dealing with a unique situation and he was not empathetic or helpful in trying to work with us to fix a situation we we thrown onto and completely unaware. We have gone through all of the proper channels and have all of the legal paperwork to deal with this. They are threatening repossession of something they don't even own.Business response

Tell u***** ****** issue
***** called the Dealership mid-way through 2021 informing us of his dads passing and asking about his Dads Winston *** trailer that was brought to us in Jan. 2021 for service work.
***************** spoke with ***** about the situation at that time was empathetic trying to help with some direction.
***** was just than starting the process with the Estate attorney.
***************** informed ***** that he would need proper ownership paperwork for Leonard Tuck & Trailer to legally release *************************** ******* Trailer.
Leonard truck & Trailer has been nothing but courteous and professional with this matter.
***************************** the Estate Attorney has contacted Leonards and is currently working on obtaining the proper ownership of ************************* ******* Tag trailer.s why here...Initial Complaint

I saw a used 40' cargo trailer online and called about it for details, because I lived 2500+ miles away. I spoke with *** **** and asked him about the condition of the trailer, if it had any leaks, or any other issues that I'd need to address. *** went out and took several additional photos, said that the brakes and bearings were done, tires were good and there was a spare and everything worked. I hired a driver and when he picked it up the electric jack didn't work. He was told that I was called and told what happened and I said OK, just bring it, but I was never called. I called *** and he wasn't there but would look into it and then he just said that you bought it as-is. Fast forward, trailer loaded to move homes and it blew 3 tires, one after another. No spare, I had to buy one and when replacing the remaining tires, the mechanic found that the rear drums were wobbling. He took them apart and found the wrong sized bearings had been installed. Never heard back from *** again either. Why should he bother, he got my money.Customer response

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. When I originally contacted *** **** at Leonard Truck and Trailer he said that he find out what happened and get back to me. I never heard from him again.
