We agreed to have our house painted and gave Northeast Paint Pros a deposit of $1,700 on May 3, 2022. (The flyer we received said “Free Paint”, so that is why we went with Northeast Paint Pros.) The house was to be completed between July 5-15. In addition to rain and heat delays, Mr. Timothy ******** gave one excuse after the other for not showing up (family problems he had to address, his son was in a car accident, he wasn’t feeling well, he was dizzy, his wife made plans for the family when he actually is divorced, he has a bleeding ulcer, problems with staff, ******* ******** ran out of paint which I verified with the manager and was told that NEVER happens, he didn’t want to push his health, he hasn’t slept for 24 hours, etc.). The house had to be power washed 2-3 days before the painting. After saying he would have it washed July 21st, he again made an excuse that there was a problem with the power-washer. He sent someone out the following day, July 22. He finally arrived to paint on August 29th, 5 weeks after the power washing. The windows got masked and he started to paint the trim. Three (3) hours later, it started to drizzle. He left his ladders and said he would be back Wednesday as rain was forecast for Tuesday. He made a verbal promise to have the house completed by Friday, Sept. 2nd. He did not come back. The windows remained covered for 10 days leaving the house in darkness. I asked him to remove the covering as I was having company for dinner on September 3rd. He did not. The week we were gone (Sept. 5-12) to visit our son in CT, he came for his ladders, took the paper down, and left 14 gallons of paint. Even though the paint was to be “free,” we feel $700 would be fair to pay him for what he has done and we should get a refund of $1,000. He is dishonest and has been feeding us lies. We are senior citizens with handicaps and do not want this to happen to others. I have kept all texts since April 29th to verify my complaint.Initial Complaint

We hired Timothy ******** in April to paint our house. After multiple delays he was supposed to start on 6/22. We put a $1400 deposit down. He sent me a TEXT on 6/22 telling me he could not do the job due to worker shortage. He then blocked my calls, and would not respond to texts, emails, voicemails. He supposedly spent $1000 in paint with our money for which he will not provide a receipt, nor will he give us the paint. He contacted me on 6/26 after a poor review I gave him. We had time to set up the paint and a partial reimbursement. We made agreements multiple times during these text correspondence, which he would then retract. He had made threats to us stating he knows where we live multiple times during these text exchanges.
