Friday, November 12, 2021 was date the initial work began. I have filed a review and history of our issues are there. The floor job was never completely finished and they were paid 100% for that, $1,800. The shower project was started and there were more issues... as per my review that was filed. After the tiler for the shower started we noticed a scratch on our refrigerator that isn't even 2 yrs old. **** has never been back since the floor was starting to be laid. We cut ties with them and they had received $700 towards the shower. We have had to have part of the shower that was started ripped out and started over. The tile was a mess and there was a bow in the water proof board they had put up that needed cut out to correct. I have reached out to the company to have my refrigerator fixed and **** put it back on us. Claiming it happened during it being moved, which we did not see until it was back in place and the tiler started. The tiler was carrying supplies having to go right past the refrigerator. **** claims they do not move anything but they did move the refrigerator and the washer and dryer out. Even Home Depot states they move items for floor installation. The scratch can not be fixed and the refrigerator door has to be replaced. ***** Sales (where it was purchased) has quoted $449.00 plus tax to replace. Due to the fact the floor job was not completed, floor needed to be finished grouted (*** said they would be back to do) Multiple scratches on wall that needed repainted, walls has to be repaired in multiple spots of drywall being damaged, walls had to washed from all the grout water that was over 5 ft up the walls, Toe kick needs to be fixed (nails are under the material so it won't go flush), used our paper towels (multiple rolls). We paid for the start of the shower that we have had to have part of ripped out and corrected. For all the work we have had to fix, repair and finish we want $500.00 in cash returned.

      Business response

      01/28/2022

The business owner informed BBB that the job was pushed back three of four times, because his workers contracted Covid. Unfortunately, the husband took off work during those times.

When the business went out to do the job, the business owner informed the consumer that he didn't want to move the appliances. The husband said to go ahead and move them because they had no one else to do so. The workers only moved the refrigerator forward 4 inches. Later, when the consumer "released" the business from the job, she complained that the business had caused a huge scratch on the refrigerator door. However, the husband had moved the refrigerator into another room and other third-parties had been on site.

The business owner feels that the consumer is only upset that he wasn't able to complete the shower as on time. The business has done over 50 showers for consumer and has never had a problem.

The business owner did use the consumer's paper towels to clean off the haze. However, he had asked beforehand and offered to replace with a couple of other rolls, which the consumer refused.

The business owner considers the matter closed.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
What flooring company does not move appliances?...and they did move our appliances! However, we are pretty sure that the refrigerator was scratched by the worker who started the shower, as he was carrying supplies and tools back and forth through the kitchen.

As started before, **** ******* was paid 100% to put new flooring in. A job that was NOT completed! The grout had not been completed! During that job damage was done to our home and not repair... pictures were sent in. We were never offered money for the paper towels they used. ****** employee, *** told us to make sure he reimbursed us for them. They used 5-6 rolls of paper towels. We have not seen **** since before *** said this too us. Why would *** tell us this if we had already declined? *** addressed alot of the damage and said "he" as in **** would need to take care of it. We never saw **** back.

He was paid for part of the shower, which had to be ripped out and start over as it was done incorrectly! His worker did not come back at that time and later we later found out had COVID after being in our home. After **** said the worker would come back to work while sick (and yes we declined and even without knowing he had COVID).
Now we have went to paint the trim by our toilet and see they cracked the base of the toilet, from removing and reinstalling it. Let me guess he told us they don't remove and reinstall toilets when doing flooring either? This has been a nightmare of cleaning up their mistakes.

His explanation does not address that the floor job was not completed! A JOB HE WAS PAID 100% FOR! That the damage that was done was not repaired! That he was paid money to start the shower job and almost everything that was done before we said stop... had to be ripped out to be done correctly! He claims they didn't damage my refrigerator yet HE (**** Stanley) has not been back to my home since they had just started to lay the floor.
