Scheduled work to be done 5/20/24 “Cabana Boys” have been out to open our pool twice and it still is not open. The pool still hasn’t been cleaned and because they did not secure the cover at the closing last fall there was debris in the pool. Also, the pool water level was lowered way too much before the cover was put in place. If we were supposed to add water before their arrival, we were never told. It’s all a mess right now and we have not had any issues with the closing or opening of our pool in the last 10 years. So this is a first. After they left in the second day, the pump was running and some chemicals had been added. But not all that are necessary at a pool opening. I also ran our robot pool cleaner and it filled with debris in about 5-7 minutes. The pool was never cleaned and not ready for the season. I don’t feel I should do the work they were supposed to do. And work we paid for! By the way, we asked them to return the second time (they said they would) and be done before having friends over at 5pm. They showed at 4:55pm and worked though our guest’s visit. They disappeared with letting us know they were done, possibly because they were far from it. We let the pump run as the. Cabana Boys’ paperwork directed. At one point, I went out and the pump was running and I emptied the skimmer filter that was filled with debris that was never cleaned at the ‘opening’. We have followed all the Cabana Boys notes left behind. Unfortunately for them, they did not. A second check on the pool had the pump still running, but no water going in or out. The water in the pump filter was hot enough to make tea. They have not returned phone calls asking them to finish the work. They have not returned texts. The owner and one of the employees were rinse and they left a large mess. I hope this is where it turns around and wrongs are righted. And we can enjoy our pool! If not, our next move will be made by someone way above my pay grade.
