We hired them to do a big paint job, for which they were paid in full, and then some. Part way through the job he claimed he needed an additional 3k in materials and labor due to our walls “requiring more coats” than the 2 we had originally agreed upon. He was also given this additional money. Turns out, he only put one coat of paint on all the walls, which was evidenced by white splotches on every wall he touched, and in some cases, notable streaks, pure white spots that got no paint, no paint around trims of floor or ceiling, and splattered paint on the ceiling and doors and the brand new carpet (because he didn’t cover anything). Overall, a very unprofessional job. When these issues were pointed out to him, he claimed he would come back to fix them. However, every time we rescheduled, he had to cancel with all kinds of excuses - out of town, someone got shot, he’s sick, kids are sick, emergency custody hearing because of a crazy ex, a family member died, in the hospital with chest pains- on and on. This went on for two months!! He took advantage of our kindness and tried to guilt us into not saying anything! He took all the money (who knows what he even used it for) and never came back to finish the shoddy job. We ended up having to hire a new contractor. Should have checked out his other reviews from other customers he scammed on the BBB, Google, and Facebook before hiring this crook! Timeline:1-6-22 (Thursday)- Shaun proposes a price of 6500 if it’s cash. Expects half tomorrow and the remaining when the job is complete. Shaun says he would rather have cash. If it’s a check he would have to change price to 6850. 1-7-22 (Friday)- Diana gives 3500 in cash to Shaun B****. 1-14-22 -Shaun B**** posts a Live video on Facebook without permission of inside of our house. 1-18-22(Tues) - Diana gives 3500 in cash to Shaun B****, which was to be final payment. Shaun claims to need 3k more which he received on 1-20-22. Paid all and extra- job incomplete.
