I paid my quarterly invoice for 07/01 - 09/30. I have since requested that we cancel services as of Aug 31. They will not refund for the month of Sept, however, as they said they "don't do refunds". There is nothing on my statement that reflects this (although there is plenty of verbiage about extra fees for various other things that they can charge me).Business response

The back our our invoice states there are other fees involved IF you are
cancelled due to non payment and or in collections and or have a check
bounce and in return get an NSF fee. All these fees are passed on to the
customer due to fees Major Waste is charged. Major does not make any
additional monies off of this. This customer was told in an email chain
that she would not be getting a refund and was paid till 9/30 so the
customer could finish service prior to switching to another provider. By
paying the invoice the customer is stating they want service for those
months. Major always invoice ahead of time for future services. The customer has been aware of this for multiple years..Initial Complaint

Good morning, I am filing a complaint against Major Waste Disposal. I have been putting my trash at the end of my driveway due to shoulder issues. Had three major shoulder surgeries all had failed plus I have a torn Labrum and shoulder impingement along with a torn rotator cuff. I am not to push, pull, or lift over 5 pounds. The person who picks up the trash has a problem with me putting my trash at the end of my driveway so I cannot use my trash receptacle. Other residents that live in the Condominium complex put their trash at the end of their driveway and that is ok but not for me! I have tried to solve this with Major Waste Disposal but I have not gotten no where, I sent an email, last year 2021 and I have called, today Tuesday September 13, 2022. The people I spoke to was the customer service representative and the driver's supervisor, what I have stated fell on deaf ears. Not sure if they think I am lying about my shoulder issues or is it something else? Living in a Condominium we the residents, pay a monthly maintenance fee, and the trash pick up is taken out of the monthly maintenance fee. For some reason, the driver for Major Waste Disposal, has a problem with me, and I have never done anything to him or the customer service representative or his supervisor.Business response

The individual emailed in May of 2022 and called 9/13/22, the same day as this complaint.
We do not require any of our customers to use our receptacle. The condominium association pays for the residents monthly trash services to Major Waste Disposal. The only requirement Major has is that all items are to be by the curb (bagged or with our can) at the time of pickup.
Each individual is able to get walk up services, if they so choose. When doing so, they themselves must pay the additional fee for walk-up services, as this is not covered by the association. Having this service requires our driver to walk up to the outside of the garage and remove the trash. This resident does not have walk-up services. At this address, the resident leaves the garbage half way up the driveway (not at the curb). Our driver walks up the drive and then tosses the bag of garbage into the neighbors can, disposing of both residents garbage at the same time.
It is apparent that the resident wishes to have her garbage disposed of separately, however, our driver is being efficient and doing his job by disposing of each residents trash properly. The employee disposing of the trash does not speak with the resident, nor does he leave the trash at the residents location, but only uses one of the neighbors receptacle to dispose of the waste.
We are not 100% sure where the issue lies. As previously stated, customers are not required to use our can. They are, however, required to place the trash curbside.
All regular household waste is being disposed of at this address weekly.
