Purchased a kitchenaid refrigerator on 3/8/2022, it sat in our garage until 3/14/2022 when we brought it to our new home to find the fridge did not get cold. Informed seller of this and was told someone would come out to look at it. I had to call off work because there is zero time management and terrible communication between seller and buyer. I was told there would be a repair man at the house well before 2pm so I can make it to work. was then told that he wouldn’t be there until 12pm-1pm. At 12pm was told he wouldn’t be there until 3pm which is when I start work. at 3:48pm I asked again and was met with 5pm-5:30pm, repair person finally came out after 6pm, put Freon in the fridge and left. after 24 hours the fridge was warmer then when the repair man was there to begin with. I was told that I could get repairs on the fridge and that they would pay for them because they didn’t know what was wrong or how to fix it. I had a repair man who came out and estimated $400+ for repairs, he got Covid and couldn’t do the repairs, had 2-3 other quotes of well over $1000 and a few that told me to cut my losses and get a new fridge, warranty expires 4/8/2022 and was told the fridge can be replaced but no refund which is my preference as this experience has been horrible and I’d rather have my money back then have to deal with this “business” any longer. Doubtful we will receive any sort of replacement at this point, as the seller cannot provide updates in any sort of timely fashion. Doesn’t respond to texts or calls unless I send multiple texts over multiple days just to get an “I’m trying my best”. Warranty expires 4/8/2022. Assuming nothings taken care of by then we have no choice but small claims to try and get things resolved as we have lost $800 on the fridge, well over $100 in groceries, service calls for repair estimates, etc.
