I paid a deposit to be on the waiting list for a puppy. I specifically wanted a havapookie and we had emailed about this. Also, we are only permitted to be on the waiting list for two dog mom's. I was on the list for havapookie and a backup was suggested, for which I chose havapoo. I waited patiently for over a year for my turn. It was still not my turn when this incident occurred. The owner started putting emails out there that there puppies available from other litters, those for whom I was NOT on the list. It sounded like she was just putting it out there in case someone changed their minds. But I was still holding out for what I wanted, the havapookie. Suddenly, I get this email asking for more money to prove I still wanted a puppy since I kept rejecting them. This was inaccurate. I still had never been offered a puppy for my desired havapookie. I explained that to her and she emailed back emails that were so scathing and emotionally abusive, in my opinion, I finally just asked for my money back. She said she would make an exception and provide the refund because she didn't want to sell a puppy to someone as terrible as me. Now she refuses to honor her word and keeps trying to sell me a puppy. I can share the emails, they are absolutely awful and abusive; I do not want any business with this person. I want my deposit back as she stated in the email. Her final email says I'm still on her waiting list but I had already checked and she had taken me off her waiting lists.

Hi. I also have the records of all of our email correspondence. I will include them here. This woman passed for over a year on MANY puppies. Deposits are of course non-refundable & that is why I make them so small. My goal is to raise wonderful puppies to make families happy for a long time (and also my puppies)! This lady has anger issues. I prefer that my puppies do not go to people like this. I love them!! She says in her complaint to you that I am "emotionally abusive" to her. I am not that type of person. I am actually quite the opposite! I just can't look a sweet, cuddly puppy in the face & tell them that they are going to have to live their whole lives with this woman.

I will still allow her to get one of Jingle's HavaPooKie puppies.  I offered her that before but she refused. All deposits are non-refundable. That is what "deposits" are for. That goes for everyone. (Unless I cannot provide a puppy of course) I do my best to be fair to everyone. My goal is to make people & my puppies happy for many years! It is really a wonderful life - except the occasional disagreeable person of course but you get things like that with anything we do. It's OK. But her deposit remains non-refuindabnvle.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ** ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

Sunny Day Puppies made an exception in writing, via email, offering my deposit back. I would like my $300 deposit back from this woman. She has proved quite unreasonable, breaching our initial agreement, asking for more money to remain on her waiting list, when it wasn't even my turn yet. She further berated and verbally abused me.

She continues to flip-flop on even selling a puppy to me and I have lost trust and confidence in her.

She has breached our agreement. Please return my $300, which was agreed upon by her in writing. I already submitted the emails proving so.

Please let me know if I need to do anything further, or do I need to pursue small claims court?

      Kind Regards,

      ****** ********
