In January 2021, I took my BMW 535xi in for service and a road safety check. They called and advised that both front axles and two tires needed replaced. After the work was done, I drove from Perrysburg into Maumee when I heard a "thumping" sound coming from the right front. I nursed the car back to the shop, and I was advised that the axle hadn't been installed properly. The axle was fixed, and I was offered a free oil change. I called May 16, 2922 and scheduled my free oil change and a service check. I was told the service checks were tied to the oil changes, so I may be waiting a bit for the work to be completed. Today, May 20, 2022, I arrived at Bavarian Autosport at 8:30am as scheduled. They changed the oil and the lady at the front desk handed me an invoice and told me I was good to go, but that the "service check" light would still be on. I was confused because the "services check" was due 02/21. Nothing else was said. As I left to get in my car I asked their mechanic why the service check wasn't completed. He replied "they didn't have time." I advised him that I asked about the "service check" when I scheduled the appointment and was told they were tied to the oil changes, so how could they schedule me for an oil change and not factor in the extra time needed for the "service check." He didn't have an answer for me. My impression was they didn't like the fact that they had to make good on the free oil change and didn't want me sitting in their waiting room for my car to be serviced. No one even asked me if I wanted to "schedule" another appointment for the "service check" that was due 02/21. Poor customer service, so I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
