We discontinued lawn fertilizer treatments for the 2023 year. This was communicated verbally to the field applicator at the end of April. We stated that we still had weeds and the seeding did not take as the reason for the termination of Land-Art. The technician agreed to inform ***** and that the seeding was under warranty. ***** inspected our yard then contacted us by phone confirming the seeding would be done at no charge in the fall. During this conversation we stated we would like to discontinue all other treatments. On May 8th a technician applied a dry and liquid treatment without our knowledge. We recived an invoice for the amount of $139.47 in our door. We called and talked to ***** again to make sure we did not receive any more treatments and question about the billing. We were told that he would look into and get back to us. In the mean time the technician showed up for the second time but we were able to stop him before any chemicals were applied. After returning from vacation mid Aug. we had two letters in the mail. 1-Land-Art dated 8/7/23 for $241.56 ($139.47 plus $100 late fee) and 2-Finace Systems of Toledo (collection agent). We attempted to contact ***** 5 times between 8/22 and 9/1 each time an office member statted they would forward the detailed message for ***** to call back. We still have not heard back from anyone at Land-Art. We reached out to FCT on 8/23 to dispute the claim and received a confirmation letter on 8/25. We called **** at FCT on 9/5 to give them an update on our attempts to contact Land-Art to come up with a reasonable resolution.

Date of supposed transaction 6-20-23 when land art said that they serviced my property for late spring/early summer fertilizer and weed control. There is no evidence of fertilizer or fertilizer pellets. **** at land art was notified per phone by complainant and work order was placed. No one from the company reached out to complainant regarding work order or concerns. Complainant called back 6-23-23 and spoke with **** in regards to complainant wanting to speak with a manager. Manager ****** called complainant later in the day on 6-23-23 and offered no apology nor dealt with the issue saying he just got the service request the day before and they would be out to investigate. ****** notified again that there is no evidence of fertilizer pellets in any part of my front or back yard. ****** said maybe a neighbor was given service on accident. Complainant notified ****** that a note and sign was left in my yard so that shouldn't have happened. ****** never gave complainant a date to look forward to the service being rendered because of rain. Complainant has already paid for entire year of fertilizer and a spring aeration. Aeration was rendered and one fertilization earlier this year.

In 2021 had them service my yard paid up front for one year. 2022 they kept coming out to the house doing treatment to the yard I had called them and told them I never sign up for another year and don’t want service. In 2023 4-21 *** called me yelling at me saying I have to pay and he going to send it to collection. I never sign up for 2022 and I had called to stop treatment after they came out to my house. They would not take no for an answer and continued coming out for the year after I told them to stop.

      To Whom It May Concern;
Land Art Inc. has been in business for 49 years. We service residential and commercial properties with our lawn care treatment program. Our lawn care program is an automatic renewal service agreement from season to season until our customers discontinue service. We provide our customers with our renewal process at the time of the original estimate and also with reoccurring renewal letters and email
      alerts.
In 2021, Mr. ******* became a Land Art customer and received all company treatments, literature and information throughout our service agreement. Land Art keeps data records of all lawn care treatments and communication with our customers. On one occurrence after numerous attempts to reconcile this account, Mr. ******* mentioned to our representative that he would resolve his past due balance.
As customary procedure in a nonpayment status, Land Art Inc. discontinued our service agreement with Mr. ******* and assigned the account to Finance Systems of Toledo. This previous customer needs to communicate with the mentioned debt collector.
      Sincerely,
      ***** *********

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

there was no mention of a renewal. It was a one time payment for a whole year of service not one time  Did they say that there was an automatic renewal every year they sent me a statement, saying what the new year would cost nothing about a renewal.  I did not send any checks cash or money, and did not renewal for the next year. They kept coming out after I made the phone call that I did not want their service and they continue to come out and try to strong arm to pay for a service that I did not want anymore. Even the owner called me yelling at me asking me why I did not want the service
      Sincerely,

      ** *******

Called twice and told them not to fertilize my yard. They have destroyed it in the past and it was costly to repair. Again on 4/8/22 they proceeded to fertilize yard after I already fertilized. I am part of a home owners association who hires them but we can opt out of land art service which I did. Their one size fits all service is not good on my yard. They have double fertilized my yard. I would like monetary settlement of $100.

We are hired by the homeowner association to treat all properties within the association. **** ****** has never written formally into my office to exclude her property. We will send a check for $100. I still need a written formality that she does not want us to take care of her. In order for her to get her money she needs to call the BBB to remove this complaint from publishing.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:  I will take complaint off BBB after I receive check.  Where is email address to send letter that I do not want service.  Also, I called three times so not sure why you cant understand I do not want you on my property.

      Sincerely,

      ***** ******
