On 3-1-24 I bought a 2007 Mitsubishi outlander form Prestige family used cars and have not received the title for it. The temp tag expired on 4-15-24 and we were issued another temp tag that expires on 6-1-24. My husband contacted the owner twice and was told it was sold with a lien on the title but we should have it any day. That was over a month ago. We are requesting that we return the car and get a full refund of what we paid.

I received notification the title is on the way to us. As soon as we receive it we will send it out to you.

I purchased a 2008 Mercedes ML350 from Prestige Family Cars on 11/20/2023. The car broke down within one hour of purchasing. The owner (****) was responsive and had mechanics come to my house within a week to check on the issue. It was found to have a broken timing chain. He had the car towed to a mechanic within 2 weeks. Unfortunately it’s now January 31st and I still don’t have the car. **** has given numerous excuses every week of why the car isn’t ready. He refused to provide the location of the vehicle for weeks and was reluctant to even provide a phone number to the mechanics.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

It’s now been 3 months since I purchased the car and it’s still not repaired.  It literally stopped running within the first hour I after I bought it.  The dealership and mechanic have continued to falsely claim the car “will be ready in a day or two” for 3 months now.

      Sincerely,

      ***** ******

I bought a vehicle on August 4th after finding an ad on craigslist I contacted **** and agreed to buy a Jeep Patriot. The issues began immediately, since this all began I realized that both on the bill of sale and the warranty sheet he claims the car is a JEEP CHEROKEE. After a couple weeks I had to get a hold of **** because from the outset this Jeep stalled very easy, and then became undrivable by the time I contacted him and he agreed to fix the issue. At the time I also asked after the title and he said he'd get it in the mail. After a couple weeks, I and my now wife went to his shop, because we are disabled and supplement our income to survive by driving, again I confronted him on title, and he again said it was in the mail. At the same time I also proposed trading me a vehicle that functioned, providing us a courtesy car, and the first mention of a refund. While other things happened, the next major verifiable fact is that by October 3rd I contacted him via text to inform him that I knew the law required him to have delivered the title to me and that I was rescinding my purchase due to this. He claimed that the title was already in the mail. On October 11th ( I had been busy getting married and honeymoon), I received the title, both the envelope and title are dated October 4th. On October 11th I again reiterated he needed to provide a refund, and again he lied on when he sent it out, and denied me my rightful return which led me to filing this complaint. Like I said there is much more that is provided via text log and can be relayed about in person meetings (including my wife who was a witness for all interactions).

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

      1) It addresses none of the primary issues of the complaint.
To whit: It addresses what he has done to admittedly fix an issue, but fails to address the fact that he never issued the title until he was confronted in writing that he owed a refund due to failure to provide said title in mandatory 40 days under Ohio law. (which was the complaint issued) Law that was presented to him multiple times. Additionally he has had the vehicle to fix it for over 6 weeks, and multiple other solutions he rejected before said messages.

      2) Provided is the title to verify timing of confrontation and when envelope and title were issued to compare to text records.

      3) Ohio AG has communicated that they are sending this dealer a letter to unwind the purchase and refund me the money he owes. Therefore I reject his unrelated excuses.

      Sincerely,

I went and bought a car from this company. Prior to signing paperwork and buying the vehicle, I was told the car was inspected by a car shop down the road and it passed inspection. I was also told there was no issues with the car and within 3 weeks I had to spend almost 1,000 dollars on new parts. He also told me if there was anything wrong with the car that he stands by his cars and will pay for the repairs. Once I called about my issues he told me this was my problem and he won't fix everything if it is going to be expensive. I still have not received my title he said I would get in two weeks. I have called multiple times to get my title to renew my plates for this car with no luck. I talked to the car shop and they confirmed that **** from Prestige lies to us customers about having cars inspected with them. And they confirmed my car was never inspected with them. **** is lying to us to get a car sold. He does not return phone calls when we are having issues, and when going to the car shop and asking about my title he said he would get it right out and still nothing with no return calls yet again. Customers need to know he is lying and no disclosing any real car info with customers.

I bought a vehicle from them on May 1st, 2022. The first 45 day tag expired and I still hadn't received my title. They said it would be another 3 weeks. They provided me with a second 45-day. That tag expired as well. After 90 days, I never got my title. I called and asked for a refund on the vehicle so I can get a vehicle with a title. The one person I talked to said they could do the refund. I called again to let them know when I would be there and the person I talked to said they would not refund it but I could drop off the vehicle without payment. And I still have not got my title and now they're telling me they don't even have a title for it.

I am rejecting this response because: It does me absolutely no good. I still have this car that I can not drive. I would appreciate a refund so I can get a car that I can actually use. I would accept a vehicle trade for a vehicle with a title.

Saw ad on Craigslist for 2004 2500 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 4x4 truck. Called, then drove up to Prestige Family Auto (KJNS Enterprises LLC). Decided to buy after looking over and test driving truck. Wrote a check for $7,000 on Wednesday May 18th with the understanding he would send me the title after the check cleared ( he said within 2 weeks). He cashed my check that Monday, May 23rd. Called him 6 times at multiple numbers. He left me a voicemail on June 1st saying he had my title but hadn't sent it, will send this week. He didn't. Called him again on June 13th, June 17th, June 21st. Left message asking why he didn't send the title yet. He called me on June 22nd saying he had sent it this time- will arrive in a white envelope. He said, "when do your tags expire?", (July 2nd) "oh you'll get it by that time". Didn't send it again. My temporary tags expired on July 2nd.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because **** ********, owner of KJNS Enterprises aka Prestige Family Auto did not send the title of the 2004 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 2500 to me yet.  I sent him a letter of notice on July 25th, 2022.  He had 7 days to respond.  He did not respond or send the title.  To reiterate, even though I paid for the truck with a good check, which he cashed the following Monday, and he said he would send me the title within 2 weeks, he did not.  If you have the title John, why not send it?  Do you really have the title?  I doubt it.  Remember, failing to deliver the title is a breach of the sales contract, a violation of the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act, the Ohio Commercial Code, the Advertisement and Sale of Motor Vehicles Law, and the Motor Vehicle Dealer Licensing Law notwithstanding plain fraud.  My temporary tags have expired therefore I cannot drive, and I cannot sell this vehicle.  You have defrauded me and my family of 14.  You have effectively stolen $7000.00 from us.

      Sincerely,

      **** ******
