      I originally signed a lease 4/16/2014 for the address at 6831 Polpis Rd, Reynoldsburg Ohio, never missing or submitting a late p**ment. On 2/4/2023 I submitted a notice in person to the Rental Office, of my intent to vacate the property effective 4/15/2023. When the time grew near, because I received a notice informing me that the system used to p** rent would be down towards the ending month of March-2023 (Which I later discovered was due to property being in transition of ownership from Harborgroup Management to Village Green), I paid the full month's rent for April-2023; Therefore, overp**ing my rent. When I went to the rental office on 4/1/2023 to inform them of this, I was told that the funds would be returned along with my deposit following my move out, at which time I requested something indicating how much less I should have paid. When the time came, I timely moved out and submitted keys with no damage to the apartment. Since then, starting 5/23/2023 , to both the new management and previous management, I have written letters, sent emails, visited the rental office, and I've even requested that the Attorney General's office attempt to mediate the situation (reference complaint *******) . However, I have yet to receive any resolution. All attempts have been ignored. And for the three or four times I've actually gone to the rental office, I've been only given excuses by the manager (R**), that either a system is down, it's being looked into, I was going reach out to you, or some other non-committal excuse. For now, I'm still holding out for some sort of resolution, prior to filing a claim through court. (Exhibit list uploaded with this complaint.       Please note that the issue has been resolved. Albeit exceedingly late, the refund of my deposit and rent has finally been resolved.   Thank you for your attention to this matter.

      On 7/4 I was told my brother could not take over my lease. ******** said I could pay 1 month of rent to break my penalty. On 7/7 I sent an email advising I would be breaking my lease. I paid my rent and my penalty by Aug. 3rd. I turned in apt on 8/16 clean and with all the keys. I kept checking rent cafe to see what I was to pay for my trash, sewer and water and it read $138. Today I looked and they are charging me an abandonment fee of $3313.75. This is not what I was told. I do not have an issue paying for the $138 but an abandonment I was never told about. For that I would have finished my whole lease out and saved me from paying an additional $1270 for breaking my lease.

      I was turned over to the collection agency for past due rent. I moved out of Alexander Court on April 15th 2023. I paid all monies owed and turned my keys in on time. I was never refunded my security deposit. I was sent an email with a bill from a collection agency. When I called Alexander Court’s property management team they agreed I did not owe money and stated they would rectify the matter. To date no one has contacted me back or sent me a refund. I have left several voicemail messages. I have also sent documents proving I paid all monies owed.

      Good evening.  I have spoken with the site team to understand this billing discrepancy which occurred during the management transition in early April.  They have instructions to cancel the debt and adjust your ledger to reflect your $100 deposit eligible for refund.  A member of the site team will be reaching out to you this week to confirm and coordinate.  Thank you for your patience throughout this process and I apologize for the miscommunication.
