Throughout the process I had purchased several of the items myself and the builder stated that he would refund me any allowances I purchase that he did not purchase. When the house was completed, I had presented him with the amount that I purchased along with the amount he had done that was over the initial ***** of the house. The builder agreed that everything I had on the list I purchased, but he did not agree with the amount that he would have had to refund me. I told him this was a document to see if there was anything he missed and to double check his numbers. He went home and came back the next day and stated that some of these amount were in his mind going to be used for another aspect of building something in the house. I told him that if it is in his mind then how am I going to know I need to remove it off my list. I went back and removed several of the items he mentioned and the amount he needed to refund me decreased to a much smaller amount. I sent that to him in a text and he stated he was good with that amount. He wrote me a check and received the final check from the bank. 2 weeks later we noticed that the siding was loose so I sent him a text and received no response. 4 weeks later I had 2 pieces fall off in the location I told him was loose, he proceeded to call me and state he was not going to honor his warranty because I still owed him money. I was a little in shock because I have the text messages stating he was good with refunding me the much smaller amount. I also have wet walls on the inside of my basement and it is wet above the ground level then slowly seeps down to the inside walls in my basement. He stated the ground needs to be sloped away from the house, but the fact that it is wet above ground level means the slope doesn't make a difference. I would like for the issues to be determined and corrected. I went to his insurance to no avail and he has continued to state he will file a lein against me. he has been paid in full.

The fact that my blocks inside my basement will get wet when we have heavy rain.. 
There is really so much more that he had told me he was going to fix then as we got closer he said it was my responsibility.. when he installed my rough plumbing in the basement he forgot to put in the trap where the shower was to go and he told me he was going to cut it out and install the trap and our concrete back in well he cut it out and never put in the trap.. so I have a hole where he cut it out.. he told me before final check when I asked if he was going to repair that it was my responsibility.. I realize I should not have given him the final check and wish I didn’t.. so that might not be able to be added.. but he does know about the block walls getting wet..
