D***** Acquisitions, LLC and its owner, Brandon ******* are an unscrupulous and dishonest enterprise. I engaged Mr. D***** in early June, 2022 to remove five overgrown arborvitae bushes and replace them with five new, healthy 5-foot tall Emerald Green arborvitae. The work was to include the removal of the old plants, preparation, amending, and fertilization of the soil, and planting the new bushes, which he was to purchase. The work was guaranteed for one year. The cost of the work was $1,880.50. Mr. D***** sub-contracted this work out. The sub-contractor planted five inferior bushes that showed signs of age, deterioration, and disease. Three of the five plants began dying within two weeks of the planting. In conversations with Mr. D*****, he promised to remedy the situation and make it right according to the original agreement. In October of 2022 I came home to find four, less than three foot tall plants had been planted. Attempts to contact Mr. D***** went unanswered. In December I filed a small claim in Shaker Heights Municipal Court. (Case # 2*********) A hearing was held on January 13, 2023. The magistrate ruled, and Mr. D***** agreed to, either reimburse me for the entire cost of the project, plus court costs, or complete the project by May 1, 2023. In subsequent conversations with Mr. D*****, because it was a very wet Spring, we agreed he would complete the project correctly on May 29th, after I had approved the plants he was to purchase. He was to text message me with photos of the plants for my approval before purchasing them. I never heard from him again. I contacted the Small Claims Court and they filed a garnishment of Mr. D*****'s bank account at ** ****** ***** *** *******, where my original check was deposited. The bank reported to the Court that there were no funds to garnish.
