      We hired them on March 11, 2021 at the price of $9,980.00 to grade the yard and plant grass. They were to start ASAP. They did not begin until May. I paid them May 20th. They did not level the yard as requested and we never got grass just weeds. We wrote a letter on 6/30/21 telling them it was not level and NO grass. They returned in the fall and drove over it with something that looked like an aerator and reseeded. In the spring I called again and ******* came out. All we had were weeds. He told me "He did not know why they could not get grass here." Nothing happened. I called again June 7, 2022. He was not willing to talk. Said the warranty was over. They never got any grass. I have pictures showing lots of crabgrass and weeds. I said, "You guaranteed grass." He hesitated and we came to the agreement that I would call ***** **** and they would pay the bill for aeration and reseeding. When it was done in the fall, I sent the bill for $1334.38. They called and said they would not pay that. I paid it because I did not want ******s stuck for that amount. Now the boss., ****** ********, is involved. He said, "I will pay half." They are not honoring their agreement. I have not seen a check. When they sent me a bill, I paid it. I guess I should have put it in escrow until I got grass.

      As to response to customer problem and repair issues. 

       

      The spring of 2021 was very wet conditions numerous times we tried to do the project early in the spring but the ground was too wet and the Topsoil we need to haul in was not workable. 

      It was early summer by the time we were able to do the lawn renovation. Unfortunately, during that time, the weeds tend to grow quicker than the grass. It was explained that fertilization and weed control will eliminate the weeds, and eventually the grass will prevail it takes 2-3 growing seasons to have fully established lawn. Sometimes it is taken for granted mother nature doesn't always cooperate. This is needed with the proper temperatures and moisture to establish a full lawn. 

       

      We visited the site and performed 2 separate renovations and repairs and over seed to make the customer happy we knew full well that it just needs to be more time to let the original grass seed grow after disturbing and adding soil with equipment we caused more damage to the original grass seed, so everything continue to take longer to improve. Sometimes it's hard to explain so we were just doing everything we can to make the customer happy. 

       

      They decided to hire someone else to come in, and over seed. 

       

      Out of frustration we agreed to split cost of the $1334.38 charge from he other contractor. 

       

      After reviewing all of the time and effort that we have we didn't feel we should have to pay half of the cost. 

       

      After 40 years in business, I have put in many lawns it simply takes a long time to get it fully established, where it needs to be one growing season is not nearly enough. 

       

      So at this time I have decided to go ahead and pay them 50% of the incurred cost I would rather see the job through and make sure everything is looking good but if this makes them happy, and this is what we will do. 

       

      We have spoke to Mr. and Mrs. ********** they have a greed to accept our offer, and we parted on good terms.

      Hello again,
      Coincidentally, we just had a phone call from ****** ********.  He said he just had a discussion with his employees, and confirmed that
      they had promised some return funds.  His calculations produced a refund of about 60% of the agreed amount, and we agreed to accept that.
      As a result, we can close this account.  Thank you once more for your help; we are convinced that your involvement spurred this solution!
