I contracted w/ Quality waterproofing to repair a sinking foundation on my home. The company did arrive on time on the agreed date and preformed work over 2 days . Employees did a great job on repairing foundation (access was in a tight location) they also did a good jog on clean up . I ask numerous questions before signing contract and owner agreed to all my requests at this time I have no complaints and would do business w/Quality again.

Poor workmanship. Owner knew problem, never checked for quality of work done. Either time. Had to come back for second time. Very disappointed and exterior of my home looks worse than when work was completed. Too may phones calls and messages left to get anyones attention. So disappointing. I have lots of photos.

I am sorry to hear of your disappointment. Tony, who is the owner, did in fact check the work We performed the work as per your contract and addressed all concerns that you had. You signed the completion certificate that states: that all work was performed as per your contract that you acknowledge that no further work is yet to be done and that said contract was performed to your satisfaction. Tony Rice inspected our basement and gave us an estimate. He was very professional and explained what needed to be done to stop the leaking. In about a week a crew was sent to do the waterproofing. Eddie and Eric arrived 90 minutes ahead of scheduled time because they had finished their previous job sooner then expected. Eddie and Eric explained what they were going to do. They were very professional and did a great job. They cleaned up the area after they were done.

SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED After cancelling two days in a row, 10 minutes before scheduled arrival for the installation of a sump pump, they showed up at noon w/o notice to do the job on the 3rd day. Less than 3 hours after they arrived, the owner called the foreman and told them to be at another job in an hour. After they left, I discovered they had not installed a check valve which would have caused the pump to burn out. They did not seal the hole where the pipe went thru the foundation about a foot underground. (This is a waterproofing company?) And if they had tested the pump installation before they left, they would have discovered two (out of 2) pipe joints leaking. They borrowed some of my tools because they didn’t bring what they needed. To add insult to injury, they will not respond to emails or phone calls after 2 weeks. I ended up installing a check valve, sealing the hole and repairing the fittings myself. That said, warranty is probably worthless.

I want to start off by apologizing that your voice mails were not answered. Your voicemails were removed by my new assistant, and I had no idea that you had even called.  I was able to retrieve both, and after listening to them I spoke with my new assistant. Honestly, it seems that she deleted several voicemails thinking that she had already taken care of them. I also found your email from April 29th. In that email you mentioned the discharge line and the check valve needing attention, however you said no action is necessary for QWOD that you would take care of it. Which is why my new assistant removed it without bringing this to anyone’s attention!
Like many Americans over the last couple of years we have struggled with staffing issues, which is why your job was cancelled. Our technicians are instructed to contact the customer before they leave our shop with the expected arrival time. Unfortunately, it appears that the foreman for your job did not contact you which is procedure. You are correct your sump pump should have been evaluated before they left, which is another procedure that was not followed. This particular foreman was let go last week for many errors.
The type of sump pump that we use has a rubber boot screwed straight into the pump which is the actual check valve. Many people do not know this.
You have a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty which covers the sump pump however not the labor for any repairs. A sump pump needs regular maintenance to keep it functioning properly.
