Local tool truck guy stopped coming around and to quit dealing with Matco for what ever reason he had, the Matco app for me now is messed up and I cant make a payment They sent me some letter saying I wasnt allowed to pay ahead of schedule and that they wanted 124 a week I received no phone calls from corporate or finance department Were quick to ding my credit report for 30 days late after I met back payments and went current because they changed the way I have to pay my bill. Thorn in my side for all the business Ive given them- Matco is quickly turning into snapons rere little cousin and they not even supporting or zipcode right now, A simple phone call or notification could of avoided yall fking up my credit because of a lack of YOUR support structure and obviously retention is an issue across ***** So from me , ************************* I vow to not buy or deal with you as much as humanly possible from here on out for lack of customer service and fkn up my payments Ive made through the years, My Matco financing disappeared off the App with no explanation Yall initiated with no recourse of correction

************** applied for Matco Tools credit, through a local distributor, on January 20, 2022. He signed a contract on that same day for the purchase of a used Mac toolbox. The total financed amount, including interest, tax and administrative fees was $7,648.27. ************** was to pay $29.53 per week starting on January 20, 2022. As a courtesy, payments can be collected by local distributors while the end user is working at a shop the distributor is servicing. However, it is the end users responsibility to ensure that payments are being received by Matco Tools ********* Services. ************** made payments directly to his local distributor until December 13, 2023.
Matco Tools strives to accommodate all our customers by having a distributor service every shop. Unfortunately, this is not always possible as distributors are franchisees, who are independent contractors and not employees of Matco Tools. Pursuant to the *** Master Agreement signed by Matco Tools customers, ********************** does not guarantee that there will be a distributor to collect payments from the sale or assist with warranty issues because of the possibility that a franchise distributor separates from Matco Tools.
Mr. Snappss account was brought in house for handling on or about March 11, 2024, upon the distributor closing his franchise.  Calls were made to ************** starting on March 12, 2024, advising him that the distributor closed his franchise and that all payments should be made to the corporate office. ************** did not answer his phone or return the call efforts. A letter was also sent advising him how to make future payments. Monthly statements were sent to ************** starting in March 2024. Quarterly statements were sent to ************** from April 2022 until December 2023.
**************** account was paid ahead due to a $700.00 payment he made in December 2023. Therefore, his account was current until May 2024. Collection calls started on June 28, 2024, when **************** account was past due for more than a monthly payment. ************** did not respond to the collect efforts; therefore, his account was reported as 30 days past due for June 2024. ************** contacted Matco Tools on July 1, 2024, and made a one-time payment of $160.00 to bring his account current. He also set up automated monthly payments of $127.86 to start on July 19, 2024.
Matco Tools does not see any wrongdoing. They attempted to contact ************** by phone, letter, and statement however he did not respond until after his account was reported as 30 days past due. However, since ************* has brought his account current and set up automated monthly payments,Matco Tools has updated his June 2024 credit reporting to current as a one-time courtesy. He should see this updated reporting shortly.
************** can contact the ********* Services Department at ************ should he have any further questions or concerns.

Places a order for middle tool box on February 2023, signed contract for said tool box on July 2023. Received box on September 2023 and it was damaged and twisted and wouldn't lock due to warp of box. Pictures and video was taken and sent to dealers district manager and another box was ordered and in the meantime damaged box was left in parts room of my work. Was making payments since delivery but as time passes I got tired of paying for something it seemed I was never gonna get. No one has contacted me except Matco credit and I refused to pay or would at times would catch up payments but now have stopped all together because who would pay for something you don't have if you finance anything you should have item in a reasonable amount of time. Here I am 10 months from replacement was ordered and still no box. Matco credit has tried to contact dealer and no reply. Called Matco tools customer service. He left messages with dealer and his district manager and no one has contacted me as of yet except Matco credit. At this point all I can do is wait for Matco to make a move and then hire legal representation. This seems only way I will get anything done because I lost all trust in this company. All I can say is never sign anything till you have correct item In front of you in new shape and working as it should. I have deffently learned my *******

Matco Tools appreciates **************** patience while this warranty issue was investigated. It appears that multiple factors contributed to the delay in the warranty of **************** drawer. **************** signed a contract for the drawer in question on July 11, 2023, with local distributor. Matco Distributors are franchisees and not employees of Matco Tools. In order to assist its distributors, Matco Tools provides several financing plans to qualified distributors for larger purchases made by their creditworthy customers so that distributors do not carry such a large receivable over an extended period of time. One of these plans is a Purchase Money Security (PSA) whereby Matco purchases the customers contract from the distributor. Therefore, Matco Tools Corporation does not have direct contact with customers during the sale. The sales contract **************** signed states that he received the drawer that day, therefore Matco Tools Corporation had no reason to believe that **************** did not receive his drawer that day. Matco Tools Corporation cannot speak as to when the drawer was delivered to ****************. Records show that on November 2, 2023, Matco Tools Corporation was notified that there was a manufacturing defect which caused the drawer to be slightly crooked. This caused the locking mechanism to not line up while installed on **************** toolbox. On that day **************** distributor contacted the warranty department to order a replacement drawer. Matco Tools manufactures their toolboxes once they are ordered. It is unclear what caused the issue; however it does not appear that the replacement drawer was manufactured at this time. In January **************************************************************************************************************************************************************** November 2023. Production of the drawer was requested shortly after. Unfortunately, around this same time Matco Tools held their annual expo. During this expo event, distributors can order many items, including toolboxes, at reduced prices. This caused a further delay in the production of the replacement drawer. The replacement drawer was received by **************** distributor on or about April 9, 2024. The distributor who sold **************** his drawer is not servicing the shop that **************** is now working at. **************** is also working 3rd shift. These two factures further caused a delay in the installation of the replacement drawer. The distributor contacted **************** once he received the drawer to arrange a day and time for him to travel to **************** new shop to install the replacement drawer. The original day and time was cancelled by **************** and the distributor has not been successful in making arrangements to install the drawer. Matco Tools acknowledges that this warranty claim was not handled in a timely manner. To thank **************** for being a valued customer and for his patience, ********************** agrees to remove any late marks on **************** credit report since July 2023 and to put any past due to the end of **************** loan, once the drawer is installed and this matter is resolved. **************** has received 6 past due reportings since July 2023 and his account is past due $253.10 as of today. No late fees have been applied to **************** account to date, however if any are applied Matco Tools will also remove those. **************** can contact distributor ***************************** to make the necessary arrangements for ********************** to install drawer. Matco Tools has spoken with **********************, and he is ready to make these arrangements for ****************, however said that **************** will need to contact him as he believes that he has exhausted his efforts contacting ****************. **************** has stopped responding to his requests to make arrangements to install the drawer. Matco Tools apologizes to **************** for the delay in the production of his replacement drawer. This matter was not handled up to Matco Tools standards. However, Matco Tools is happy to report that the replacement drawer is in the possession distributors *****************************. **************** should contact ********************** to make the arrangements to have his replacement drawer installed. Once this is completed, Matco Tools will make any adjustments needed to **************** account, as described above.

According to Matco Tools records, ****************** completed an application for Matco Tools Financial Credit with a local distributor on March 10, 2023. On that same day, ****************** entered a contract for the purchase of a 2Series 2 Bay Toolbox for $4,543.00, a 16-piece 72 tooth metric extra-long combination ratcheting wrench set for $537.95, a 3/8 high speed rachet kit for $272.95, an impact wrench for $942.71, a drive flex rachet for $263.95, a 3/8 extra-long locking flex ratchet for $154.95 and a 3/8 extend reach high speed ratchet for $322.95. According to the signed contract, the total cash price of the items purchased was $7,038.46, not $2,600.00 as ****************** alleged. The sales tax of the purchase was $580.67, there was an administrative fee for $50.00 totaling the principal balance to $7,669.13. Mr. ******** interest rate was *****%, for a total of $5,450.47. This is listed on Mr. ******** contract under time price differential. The total amount financed by ******************, as shown in his signed contract, is $13,119.60. The contract also outlines Mr. ******** payment terms. According to the contract, ****************** is to pay $50.46 a week for 260 weeks. The first payment was due on March 10, 2023, the date that the contract was signed. The payment terms have not changed. Matco Tools is unclear on why ****************** believes that the terms have changed, or that the terms of the contract were not clear to him. Should he wish to discuss this matter further, he can contact an account representative at ************.

Is there an option for no star?? that's what I think at the moment. Have invested a lot into Matco tools and recently found out that they do not stand behind their products, they will basically take your tools from you with no plan on returning it if sent off for warranty issue or any sort of repair. Customer service they pretty much offer no service then to pass you to the next representative. The truck guy will avoid and when you do finally track him down be ready to be treated like your concerns don't matter. This is coming from a person who bought nothing but Matco tools and always paid for everything up front. I don't owe them money now and never have. I will never spend another dollar on them, and I highly recommend others not to!!!!

I tried too return my box back too my Matco dealer with in the first week of buying it. Buyers remorse and all and I could not afford it . So they told me I would have too come up with 13 grand or they would have too and said they couldn’t return it . I tried calling there finance department and they said nothing they can do. So now I’m hurting trying too make two payments. Most companies offer grace periods or buyers remorse options. Makes me upset

Mr. ****** applied for Matco Tools credit on or about February 2, 2024. He entered into a contract on the same day. Matco Tools’ contracts are commercial contract, not consumer contracts. As such, there is no provision for a “cooling-off” period or return-for-credit as may be provided in consumer financing agreements.

I have been buying matco tools for years. I recently paid off my account, but they continue to charge my credit card despite having a zero dollar balance with the company. I call them every week and they will not stop. They owe me hundreds of dollars due to wrongful charges. I have spoken with several customer service reps and they all claim they will fix the issue and agree this is wrong, and say I will be reimbursed, but the automatic charges continue. Recently I had to get my bank involved, we will see if that helps. I would love to see hear a genuine response to this issue, because I am at a loss.

Mr. **** completed an application for Matco Tools Financial Credit with a local distributor on November 4, 2021. He signed a contract for the financing of a 4 Series, 2 Bay Toolbox on November 18, 2021. According to the sales receipt/PSA contract sign by Mr. ****, the local distributor sold the toolbox to Mr. **** for the agreed price of $3,000.00. After the addition of sales tax ($210.00) and a standard administration fee ($50.00), the principal balance on the account was $3,260.00. The Terms of Sale section of the sales receipt/PSA contract discloses the Time Price Differential or interest payments ($1,792.32) that will be paid during the entire life of the loan pursuant to Rule of 78 calculation method. Time Price Differential was added to the Principal Balance for a Total Time Purchase Balance of $5,052.32. Mr. **** has made payments totaling $2,767.66 as of January 26, 2024. Late fees were added to Mr. ****’s account in the months of November 2022, December 2022, January 2023 and February 2023. After the payments received and late fees added, Mr. ****’s account balance is $2,334.65 as of January 30, 2024. Matco Tools is confused by Mr. ****’s claim that he believes his account is paid in full. Mr. **** spoke with his account representative on January 29, 2024, to reschedule an upcoming payment. At no point in this recorded conversation did Mr. **** dispute the balance or question his automated payments. Should he have concerns, he can contact his account representative at ************ to discuss this matter further.

I will never buy Matco tools again. My tool truck guy was the worst and never had what I wanted. I got a tool box from him that came with broken bumpers and after a year or two they never got replaced and he now quit. My tool truck guy also paid late and hurt my credit all the while he was serving us. I fell behind by a few hundred dollars and they threatened to send me to court. T hey also would not work with me to setup a fair plan to not continue to hurt my credit. they would only do it for more than i could pay in order to set up a plan. SO now I only pay around 200 a month but it isnt enough and they continue to mark my credit every month I dont pay back around 20 dollars more. Words company ever.

**************** applied for Matco Tools credit on or about February 3, 2022. He entered into two contracts: one dated February 3, 2022, and one date February 25, 2022. According to his contract dated February 25, 2022, **************** is to pay $30.97 per week. **************** minimum monthly payment is $134.10. Unfortunately, Mr. ******* account slowly became past due and his payment inconsistent. Records show that **************** did not make full monthly payments in the months of March 2022 ($130.97 was received), July 2022 ($100.00 was received), August 2022 ($110.00 was received), October 2022 ($70.00 was received), December 2022 ($70.00 was received), January 2023 ($120 was received), February 2023 ($60.00 was received), and March 2023 ($120.00 was received). No payment was received in the month of May 2022. Mr. ******* payments for April 2022 totaled $170.82, June 2022 totaled $207.00, for September 2022 totaled $186.00, and for November 2022 totaled $146.10. Mr. ******* payments stopped after his payment of $60.00 on March 30, 2023, and did not resume until July 5, 2023. Matco Tools reports to the ************* monthly. If a customer is past due for 4 or more weekly payments at the time of the reporting, Matco Tools reports this to the *************. Mr. ******* credit was first marked as ******************* January 2023 when his account was past due 5 weeks at the time of the reporting. His account has not become less than 4 weeks past due since then, so unfortunately Matco Tools has reported Mr. ******* account as past due at the end of each month since January 2023. Mr. ******* account became 16 weeks past due on May 12, 2023, and per Matco Tools process the account was moved in our in-house collections department. **************** resumed payments when a payment of $200 was processed on July 5, 2023. **************** made his next payment ($240.00) on August 21, 2023. Unfortunately, his payment scheduled for September 20, 2023, was rejected by the bank. A one-time payment was made on October 2, 2023, for $240.00. **************** set up automated payments of $200 per month, on the 7th of each month, to start on November 7, 2023. That arrangement is still in place. Notes reflect that deferment programs were offered to ****************, however he advised that he was not able to afford the required down payment for the deferment program at that time. Should that change, **************** can contact his account representative at ************ to discuss the programs available to him. **************** started to receive collection phone calls and letters when his account became past due. His statements also reflect the past due status of his account. **************** did not notify Matco Tools at any time that he believed his distributor was not remitting his payments or did he claim that his past due status was because of any actions by his distributor. If **************** has receipts showing that any payment was not applied to his account correctly, ********************** is more than happy to review them. However, after reviewing the payment history of the account, ********************** believes that the credit reporting is accurate. Mr. ******* claim that Matco Tools is not treating him fairly is not accurate. Matco Tools expects **************** to make payments per the signed contract. Unfortunately, his account is past due and Matco Tools, like all creditors, reports the status of the account accurately to the credit reporting agencies. Matco Tools was not able to find record of a warranty claim being opened by ****************. He can contact Matco Tools by calling 866-BUYTOOL *************) to discuss his possible warranty claim.
