  I highly recommend NOT doing business with Bulk Apothecary. While they may have a decent selection of products, their customer service is absolutely dreadful. I’ve tried to get simple issues resolved, but instead of helpful responses, I was met with dismissive, unprofessional behavior. When I asked about shipping options, Stacy gave vague information before completely dismissing my concern with a generic, unhelpful reply. She didn’t even forward my question to the correct department—she just told me to send another email, wasting more of my time. And now I understand why—the email she claimed I needed to send my concerns to doesn't even exist. This is how much they respect their customers. But it gets worse: when I tried to follow up and email customer support, the email address ***** provided was invalid. I attempted to reach out multiple times, but all my emails bounced back with a "address not found" notification. This is not only a lack of customer service, it’s outright misleading and dishonest. To add insult to injury, she emailed me again, completely disregarding my concern and circling back to the original issue. I’m beginning to think she deleted my other emails so her superiors would only see what appears to be a typical tax exemption inquiry, hiding her poor service from their view. It’s incredibly frustrating to deal with a company that seems intent on making things difficult rather than offering the support any business customer deserves. I now understand why Bulk Apothecary has so many negative reviews and less than 2-star ratings from real customers who share their bad experiences. For anyone thinking of buying from them: do yourself a favor and avoid this company, unless you're local and personally know them. They may have the products you need, but the risk of poor service, expensive shipping, and wasted time is simply not worth it. There are plenty of other reputable suppliers out there who actually value their customers.

  Review of Bulk Apothecary: Disappointing Experience with Wrong and Damaged Product I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Bulk Apothecary. Despite my excitement to receive my order, the store not only shipped the wrong product but also delivered product n a damaged condition. This was not at all what I expected when I placed my order, and the situation only worsened from there.Upon discovering the mistake, I immediately contacted BA customer service, hoping for a quick and straightforward resolution. Unfortunately, the response I received was far from satisfactory. The store made no effort to rectify their mistake promptly. There was no offer to send the correct product overnight, which I thought would be the least they could do given their error.To make matters worse, the responsibility to return the incorrect and damaged product fell entirely on me. This meant I had to use my own gas and take time out of my day to make the return, incurring expenses that were not my fault. The lack of initiative to correct their error or compensate for the inconvenience caused is alarming. It reflects poorly on BA commitment to customer satisfaction and their after-sales service. An experience like this leaves much to be desired and highlights significant areas for improvement in how they handle shipping errors and customer complaints.In conclusion, my experience with BA was far from positive. The mishandling of my order, coupled with the inconvenience and additional expenses incurred to return their mistake, was frustrating. Until then, I would be hesitant to recommend shopping with them to anyone.

  Bulk Apothecary has excellent products at excellent prices. I am a repeat customer because of this. Turn around was very quick.

  Bulk Apothecary, (nominal) Pine Tar Soap.Caveat emptor. Read the small print. You'd think that if something was called Pine Tar Soap, it would contain actual pine tar, you'd be wrong. I only blame myself. As a long time pine tar soap enthusiast, I was thrilled to find a new reasonably priced supply. It appears that the ten bars I bought contain zero pine tar. And, just sitting on the table, they're off-gassing some kind of fumes that make my eyes burn.***************************

  We purchased several hundred clearance bath bombs which appeared to be a great deal at the time. Upon arrival, the bath bombs did not match the photos in the slightest, used different ingredients than any of their other bath bombs, were clumpy and mis-shaped, and were extremely powdery, despite the fact they were wrapped in cellophane. We requested a refund/return and were told due to the items being clearance, a return could not be accepted. The product page for the item does not state anything about no returns, and we were told they only place on the website where it states that clearance is non-returnable is in the fine print on the return policy page. Our order was also missing items, and many incorrect items were shipped in their place. We also ordered "Natural Potpourri" but the actual product received was artificially colored. This will be our last order from Bulk Apothecary, despite many years of doing business with them. Many of their bath bombs can be purchased from companies like Made Natural for a fraction of the price, with the same names, colors, and ingredients, and with free shipping. I am now our hundreds of dollars and have product that cannot be sold because the quality is so poor it would tarnish my brand. If Bulk Apothecary would have owned up to their misleading website information and accepted a return, all of this would have been avoided.

  I made a $400 order. Everything showed up within a reasonable time. Products were securely packaged and every thing was as expected. Will definitely continue business with this company.
