They reimbursed me for mist things list and damaged except my original lucille ball original painting that auctioned for 2,023 dollars and my ***** ******* portrait that I got 23 yrs ago that was cut and paint drops. I tried to send most of the photos but they are to big. I used notes for what needed done but they would not use them. I used painters tape with marker all over the walls. The floor boards in a couple ares didnt get painted so I have to do. Also the front door handle that said was fixed locks but still opens and the floor board is lifting. As I told the im tripped over it with my cane. I tried to send many pictures they are to many over 200 pic. I will send the few things od certain things I put on here. We appreciate the concerns noted and are thankful for the opportunity to address the concerns.  This job is on open job and has not been finalized in our system. As the customer notes, she is working with ****, one of our trusted Project Managers.  We received a message from the client that was left before our office opened at 8:30am on the same day this complaint was filed.  **** called the client as soon as he received the messaged and a plan is being executed to address the concerns noted.  We take all quality and workmanship issues very seriously and look forward to ensuring the situation is resolved.  **** remembers offering to paint the boards that were not painted and being told not to worry about it. I also believe the issue with the Art has been addressed.  Certain items may have been handled by a Contents company.  We typically refer specialty and high value items to vendors that specialize in the field.  Eitherway, as we work to finalize the project, we appreciate the opportunity to make sure the client is salisfied and feels her envoirnment is as safe as possible.

Mr ****** contracted Paul Davis Restoration to refurbish/repair his garage after a fire occurred on his premises.  He signed a work authorization with us (attached) outlining the terms of service and under the agreement that we would provide the services as outlined on his insurance company estimate.  The final amount of the insurance approved estimate was $8495.03  Paul Davis performed all work as stated on the insurance company estimate which Mr. ****** has.

After we  completed the work, Mr ****** expressed a concern with the paint on his garage ceiling not adhering properly after work was finalized and we visited the property many times to view and come up with a solution.  Since the area of the garage is not insulated and suffers from freeze/thaw regularly, the paint had problems adhering.  We corrected it and as of 7/5/22 Mr ****** sent an e-mail stating it was fine.  Also be advised that on April 8, 2022 Mr ****** signed a certificate of completion (attached) that all items except for paint was completed and he was satisfied.

Please be aware that Mr ****** was notto  pay us anything other than what he was paid for through his insurance company.    We agreed to get paid after his insurance company paid him.  We agreed to allow him to hold back $350 until his paint situation was resolved.  We agreed to wait until his insurance company finally paid him for the replacement garage door we installed which was only reimbursed to him direct this summer. We performed all work per their reduced rates and completed as per our agreement.  We carry pride in our work and do everything possible to satisfy the customer demands.  I have e-mails outlining my attempt to resolve the open balance issue on 5/18, 6/23, 7/5, 7/6, 8/9, 8/17 of this year.  It was only after my attorney sent a collection letter on or about 8/25 that I received any response to our open issue and it was this complaint from the BBB.

At this moment, Mr ****** still owes us $1422.36.  This is for the remaining balance of the paint that was due and the final reimbursement for the garage door install.

Paul Davis is willing to work with Mr ****** to reach a resolution if final payment is made.  He is now asking for his steps to get fixed along with his garage window to get fixed.  Neither item was a contracted repair item ( see his insurance estimate).  I even asked for clarifications on those two items on my e-mail of 7/6/22.

Phone calls were made to Mr ****** on 5/20, 6/21, and 7/5/22 with messages left and not return call.  At this time it seems as if Mr ****** has reached the conclusion that he can keep the insurance proceeds for the work performed and not pay his contractor as agreed.

Attached are the work authorization, Certificate of Completion/approval, and terms and conditions.

I have copies of e-mail and notes for phone calls made if necessary.

Lastly, we warrant and want customer satisfaction on items contracted and performed by Paul Davis Restoration.  Mr ****** is just asking for a few items not in his original request for service not has he paid for the items already completed
