I am contracted with Clean & Green to cut my front and rear lawn on a weekly basis, since 6/22 (Spring, Summer, Fall). After my 1st cut of the 2023 season (4/19/23), I notice some damage to the fence in my rear yard. I have reached out to this company twice via phone calls and voice mail as well as two e-mail's with no response to date.

      Hello

Mr. McJunkins & I have been in constant contact since the beginning of the incident. As I shared with him this is a very busy time of year & no one wants to work so I emphasized patience on his part. But we continued to work through this with the guys also meeting him on site with the equipment to show that there was no possibility for our equipment to have damaged his gate the way he thinks it could have. There are zero scratches, scuffs, marks etc on the gate. Likewise the height of our mower does not match up with the ability to have caused this damage on his gate. From the front wheels of the mower, to the deck, etc. Furthermore the gate would need to be in the full open position & damage occurring in the opposite fashion. The gate would be dented where there is no damage & the damaged area would need to be dented. By this, the direction of how the gate is dented is not consistent with how the property would have been maintained. The tech that was utilizing the mower during this time has been with the company for six years with only one count of clumpy grass five years ago. He is an exceptional employee and excels at his job.

This has been resolved with Mr. McJunkins and Clean N Green. Mr. McJunkins will not be charged for the four previous cuts this season in a good faith effort from Clean N Green.

The company dropped me as a customer, due to "Staffing issues". Not sure how they decided which customers to drop?  The owner offered $280 to have my gate replaced.  This amount does not replace the damaged section of the fence, but I am moving on.  I will never use the company and recommend others to not use them.  I am overall dissatisfied with the company, quality of service provided and the response and concern for my damages.

Transaction Date: October 5, 2022, Invoice #3615 Charged $286.20, paid $223.20 (aeration and seeding). Withheld $63.00 because of overpricing of aeration compared to last year's price, which I was not informed of a large increase ahead of the service. When I questioned the invoice, I was told "the bill is the bill." And if it is not paid in full, it will be turned over to a collection agency. I paid $223.20 of the $286.20 and deducted $63.00 to accommodate the over increase of the aeration. I was not told ahead of time of such a large price increase for aeration. In 2021 I requested a double aeration for the backyard. This year 2022 I requested a single aeration only and the price is a lot more for a single aeration than it was for a double. The paperwork was sent to us after service was complete. There were other issues that I requested that were not done properly which doesn't have to do with the price of the aeration but they could be looked at if this isn't settled. I explained everything in a letter with my payment of $223.20, and the owner ignored it and sent me a receipt for the partial payment and is demanding the $63.00 and threatening me with collections. I took $63.00 off the invoice because I cut it in half since it was not a double aeration. The business is not communicating with me at all in good faith. This is not good because his communication is very different from last year. Last year he was very good to talk to. This year we communicated by text messages only, and he appears to be steadfast in his position. I tried to work this out by sending him the majority of the payment.

      Hello,

Thank you for sharing this info with me regarding *** *****. In regards to the services rendered one of my technicians serviced his property for an aeration & overseeding. He was aware of *** *****s note regarding staying three feet or so away from the mulch beds to ensure no seed would make it into the beds. Message received & the technician knew this prior to servicing the property. From here *** ***** called & spoke with the Owner, Hunter regarding his dissatisfaction with the overseeding portion of the service. *** ***** shared that there was "no seed put down what so ever in the front yard". Hunter shared this info with his seven year veteran technician & had his technician return to the property to reseed the property to ensure customer satisfaction.

During the original phone call with Hunter *** ***** repeatedly shared that he did not want it corrected and he only wanted a refund for the services which raised confusion for Hunter as customers have never asked for something to be 100% credited all while Hunter is offering the service to ** ***** again. Clean N Green machines are all set to dispense the same exact seed amount when the hopper is open. This ensures the customer is getting what they are paying for which is 3 pounds per 1,000 square feet of grass seed overseeding. Hunter still had his employee return to the property to once again, ensure the client satisfaction through & through. The front lawn (which was the only troubled spot of the entire lawn) was once again seeded approximately three hours after the original complaint call was received.

In conclusion, all services were rendered in exceedance with what was quoted & agreed upon by *** ***** on 26 September 2022. Clean N Green has each & every client read the quote, line items, notes etc. Each customer then has to hit an "approve" button within the CRM & are then prompted to sign the quote. At the bottom of the image you will see *** *****s signature with a date stamp as well.

As a company Clean N Green upholds its promise to "Show Up" & deliver what is proposed to the client each and every time even if this is needing to be done a second time at no additional cost to the customer.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Please do not hesitate to reach out with anything further.

      Hello,

Here is a further explanation of costings within Clean N Green.

In 2021 our pricing for a Fall Aeration was $105.

Don asked for a double aeration in his backyard ONLY. This cost was raised $10 to $!!5 dollars to accommodate the few extra few minutes needed to render services.

In 2022 our pricing increased slightly for a single aeration to $125. An increase of $20. This is the service Don requested this season.

This would be an increase of 16% from 2021 to 2022. Below a multitude of reasons will be shared as to why this has increased.

Under current service inflation rates employee compensation is up a combined 15%, fuel for vehicles is up 70% with our vehicles averaging 7mpg due to hauling trailers, shortages of vehicles & equipment has severely impacted our ability to perform services among many others. Within our company our employee rates have well surpassed those of the national standard. Our employees earn well in excess of $22 per hour as a starting rate.

As a whole we strive & do provide some of the best services in & around Strongsville. We will continue to do so. We do not see the problem with the rendered services *** ***** received from the first, or second revisit our technician made to ensure satisfaction.

Thank you for the opportunity to write on behalf of Clean N Green & our team. We appreciate your time.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

I cannot accept Clean N Green's response because it isn't complete, and it is somewhat confusing the way it is written.

My offer of $31.00 which is half of what is remaining to settle the matter wasn't addressed. Unnecessary time was spent

in contacting the BBB to assist in solving this matter because the company would not discuss it with me, and I am continuously

receiving reminder e-mails of money owed.

I want to settle this. Why didn't they accept the $31.00 to settle after what they put me through? Not only this, but on November 18 they

sent me quote #**** that I did not ask for and they electronically signed my name which I never authorized. If they will accept $31.00, I will

      consider the matter closed.

      Regards,

      ****** *****
