When the tough get going, J&J won't do the towing! They'll bill you for it though and then tell you to have the kind of day you deserve. The rudest people I have ever done business with. This is what happened: I bought a motor home on 08/01 and contacted J&J before doing so to make sure it could be towed to my home as it doesn't currently run. The lady I spoke with asked me if the motor home was accessible which it was very much so being located on a large open lot. The next morning, 08/02 I called back and made arrangements for the motor home to be picked up and I went in person to J&J's to drop off the keys and pay them for the towing in the amount of $245. About an hour and a half later, the company called me to tell me they could not tow it because the lot it was located on was grass. No one from the company ever asked me any form of question as to what kind of lot it was located on. I went back in person as I did not understand what the issue was. When I got there they claimed their trucks were too heavy to go on grass and that even though they did not tow my motor home as arranged, that I still owed them $75 for the service charge. I argued that they were the professionals and it was them, not me who should have known what kind of questions where to be asked. Not only did they insist on charging me but were beyond rude refusing to accept responsibility for their oversight. They issued a refund of $170 and still insisted on charging me the service call of $75. I told them I would be disputing the charge with my CC. They told me to have the kind of day I deserved which is how professional they are. Speaking of profession, I found two companies that had no issue with towing it off a grass lot. Express towing delivered my motor home to me exactly as I requested on 08/03 which proves J&J simply refused to provide the service they had promised me based off their preferences which they never once made known.

Customer stated vehicle was on driveway in the open. Upon arrival it was off the driveway behind a tree in the grass (Pictures available upon request). It was shortly after the heavy rains and we did indeed inform her the trucks were heavy and we were reluctant to drive over the grass for fears of ruts or getting stuck. Please note we are responsible for any damages created by our staff. The gentlemen that accompanied her seemed to be very understanding of our position and agreed and even tried to relate this to her. They stated the property owner would get vehicle to driveway for easier hook up. She called back later and cancelled the call, yes we did charge her a service call, would like a show off hands as who goes to work for free. Everyone expects to be paid for there time, even a business. Please understand when we give an estimate we are going off what we are being told, sometimes stories don't always match the situation which makes it frustrating and sometimes costly for the customer and or business. Sometimes people have this notion that Tow Trucks can go anywhere... Unfortunately this is always the first threat we here from people like her, "I will file a complaint with the BBB". I think the BBB does good but wish they would review how they handle complaints. Not every complaint is valid or even true, some are made out of revenge and just the fact someone did not agree or get what they wanted. I was part of the discussion when she arrived and no one in my employ was ever rude or nasty. These situations are few and far between but we always try to be respectful and polite, even when someone acts as she did. Please note we have been in business since 1989 and proud to say this is an exception to the rule.

On December 30, 2021 I was looking for a lake to fish and got my truck stuck just over the Michigan line. I was given J+J's phone number by Bob at Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Center who is my "Go-To , A+,BBB accredited mechanic". Bob contacted me , I contacted J+J and they said they had a truck available and could be out soon. The Lady at J+J who answered and took my information was beyond polite! (More Later). I now only had to wait. While waiting in a cold field, 2 Monroe County Sheriff's showed up to check on my welfare and check me out. In conversation, I told them J+J was on their way and they both stated on J+J's Great Service in towing in both Mi and Oh. I decided to make it easier on the driver in finding me so I walked up to the main road because I was over 1000 feet back, Stuck! I called J+J back to make sure they had the correct address and a Gentleman answered and I told him how professional the Lady that took my info was and he assured me truck was on the way. A few minutes later I saw the truck and assisted him off of the main road . This is when I met Brandon, the young man I was happy to see. He did as he needed to safely set up my truck to tow it out, using proper chains and "gadgets", and making sure I was safe during the process. Brandon had me put my truck in neutral and stay away from the set up. His truck was able to free me and he pulled me up to where I was again safe. His knowledge amazed me as to exactly what buttons to use to get the job done in a timely manner.
I paid the bill which again amazed me and I thanked Brandon, for his courtesy. He waited until I was on the main road and followed me to the next intersection.
I'm typing this because after being in business for years myself , I know it's easy for a customer to complain, but hard for them to pay a compliment. Please check out who you use in a towing situation BUT feel Good if you chose J+J for your needs.....I sure do!!!

I suggest no one uses this business. They are unprofessional, over charge you and rip you off. They also got rude and really nasty with my mother when she disputed some off the extra charges they put on the bill. $1100 to replace a oil pan, ridiculous. Spread the word and make sure your friends and family never use this business!

Please note all work was approved prior to work being performed. Work was explained and so were cost related to work. When she came in to pick up vehicle and to complain, we did explain that the time to receive estimates was before work was performed not after approval and repairs were made. If she was not ok with our cost she should have received other estimates and made an informed decision based on that. On a 17 year old truck many factors come into play when you are writing an estimate. We did ask her not to return because actually she was very rude and obnoxious while in our office. One last note this was her grand sons truck who seemed very happy with our work. Please also note we never spoke with mom who filed the complaint. Regular keyboard warrior.....

Actually I was there too you pathetic excuse for a person. Your woman behind the desk nasty and rude when we asked why we were charged so much for a job that was suppose to take 2 days and was done in less then half a day. You are a rip off and from the other comments I saw about your business and how rude you are I suggest you close your unethical business. If I wasn't such a decent you human being I would come ***** you a*******,
