Was told I needed a new engine. It took about 3 weeks for them to find the problem get the part and instal. There was no communication . It was like I was chasing him to find simple information about my car. When it was completed I just wanted to get some simple information about the repair and what to expect . It was my fault for thinking they would be helpful . Instead the owner ******* yelled at me and said that “ he’s not scamming us.” That was Friday . After the weekend with my car, 3000 dollars gone , i started to notice many issue. The car was still misfiring , engine light was back on, missing bolt from my tire , low beams that were recently bought burnt out . I quickly went back to him with the information I’ve gotten from autozone . Many codes were popping up. He said those codes had to do with the brakes and not the engine and proceeded to delete it all without my consent . He then started to undermine me when I asked why my lights were out, bolts missing . The owner ******* proceed to yell at me “ get the F out I’m not talking to you call your parents “ I was in shocked .then his other mechanic who was working in the back and no where close to me starts to yell and scream “ get the f out you are a Bitc.. stfu “ he then storms to my car and slams my hood close . I quickly called the cops . Im not sure why they acted that way but I’m not happy . I would also like to add the smell of the car when we first got it back was disrespectful . I paid 3000 for a used engine with the warranty of only a month and I’m my codes have been deleted along with an engine light. When i came to him and told him about the problem I’m having his solution was go to autozone and Repurchase a bolt, low beams.Business response

The customers mother brought the car in and I spoke with the father on the phone. They stated they had it at 2 different shops before coming here and the car was still overheating. When the car arrived to our shop it did not even run . We diagnosed that the head gasket was bad and recommended to replace the engine. They were given a price for both new and used and the parents decided on a used engine. The father was notified on the phone that a used engine came with a 30 day warranty. When they came in with the deposit they were also notified ,in writing , that the used engine came with an 30 day warranty . They were notified we needed the deposit on engine before starting the job. Once we received the deposit, we had the car for one week . That time included waiting for the engine to arrive and the installation.
When the customer showed up to pick the car up she stated that it was suppose to be a new engine not used . We explained it was not a new one but a used engine that was paid for. After the customer checked w her parents and they informed them that it was a used one not new they took the car and left .
2 days later the customer showed up with a list of complaints stating that we were responsible for all the codes /issues . We went thru the list . They claimed they had a missing lug nut from the passenger rear tire from us doing the engine. We explained that we never removed the tire therefore had nothing to do with the lug nut not being there. However, we still replaced her missing lug nut . We explained to her that the ABS code has nothing to do with the engine and was to do with her brakes. The only engine code was a evap purge solenoid and we replaced that and then cleared the codes , as this is normal practice. Then she started in saying the headlights didn’t work because of us. I explained that the bulbs were blown and nothing to do with the engine. She instantly said no they are brand new . I said. Well if they are new you can exchange them and I’ll put them in. She said they are new and u guys touched them and made them blow. At this point, nothing is making them happy and they are going thru a list of things that have nothing to do with the work we have done therefore I asked them to leave. They did not leave and instead the young man that accompanied the customer started an argument with one of my employees. The employee simply shut the hood and they were again asked to leave .
They then called the police stating that my employee hit them. After they called the police the customers father called me and I explained the situation. He asked if I could look the car over and check the a/c ,because it was not working . I said yes, they can leave the car and I will check it out. I stated they had to leave the car because I didn’t not want to deal with the gentleman and her accusations towards me and accusing me of being a crook. He then apologized for the situation and I apologized back. When the police arrived we showed them the camera footage of everything that proved they were lying. The police then escorted the customers male friend off the property. She than got in the car , picked up the male
Friend and left with the car. I expected the father to call me back but this was the first I’ve heard from anyone regarding this issue since that day.
