1/2/2023 I called and talked to *****. I told ***** I had a power steering leak, so I needed the leak fixed. I called ***** back and told them I had to have my car towed in because the serpentine belt was broken. I was told I needed a serpentine belt, New Pulleys and accessory drive belt Tensioner Assembly and Pulleys needed to be cleaned. I picked up my vehicle and I asked was it still leaking. I was told no. $826.72 later my car was still leaking. I called and talked to ***** again. He told me it's must have been a misunderstanding and he knows that all the fluid can be pushed out after the belt brakes and that he probably knows to much about cars. I took the car back on the 10th of January and ***** said it was fixed he showed me this O ring that was making it leak and my suv was all fixed. He said he wasn't going to charge me this time. January the 11th I went back to the shop car still leaking. I set up an appointment for 16Th of January to take my car back. I take my car back now they are saying I will need a new power steering pump and that some are some damaged pulleys from the previous time I took the car in.***** told me that the less thorough guy that works on my car is not there. He had another guy that's more thorough that had some kind of pressure pump check on my car. I need a new power steering pump, but it would be another $900 approximately. I told them to give me my car. I know that the belt and pulleys needed to be replaced, but you never said that you left old broken pulleys on my car. I didn't see that until the thorough mechanic listed it in his report. If they all were replaced how are damaged ones still on there? I took my car to another shop and all I needed was a $65 power steering reservoir. If the car was really check out, then you should've known but you were trying to get another $900 out of me for a power steering pump I didn't need. I believe they were trying to get over one me because I was a woman.

First I want to apologize for the poor service and experience you received. This is not who we are or the way we expect people who come to us with a problem with their vehicle to be serviced. This is our 106th year servicing Toledo motorists and it's always been our purpose to help our customers keep and maintain a safe and reliable vehicle. We obviously missed the mark this time. We will gladly provide you with the refund you feel is fair. Please let us know how we can settle this to your satisfaction.

My car was having oil pressure issues and I was worried about a slight ticking in my engine. I had my vehicle towed to their shop so as not to cause any damage to the vehicle. They stated that the ground to the sensor for my oil pressure was bad and that that was all that was wrong with my car. I paid $328.22 for them to do this fix. When they called to tell me my car was done I specifically asked about the oil pressure to ensure that it was good as well as the slight ticking. I was told that all was fine and I could have my car. I picked my car up after hours as I work 40 miles away and could not make it there before they were closed. I was only able to drive my car 38 miles before the oil pressure sensor alarmed and my car stalled and my engine was ruined due to no oil pressure. They state it was like that when I brought it in. If so, why even fix the sensor and tell me all was good with my oil pressure when it clearly wasn't.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/01) */ ************ brought her car to us due to a low oil pressure warning message on the dash. She was scared to drive it because she hears the engine making noise so she had it towed in to us. She told us her only concern was the "Red low oil pressure" warning message. Our inspection revealed the oil level sensor connector was melted and needed to be replaced. The car has 252,874 miles on it and was low on oil due to oil leaks. We were told the "low oil light" had been on for a long time and she was only concerned with the oil pressure light that had come on. Unfortunately the engine is at the end of its service life in part due to the number of miles it has on it and from apparent poor maintenance. Nothing we did played any part in the engine failure. It came to us in this condition. ************ disputed the credit card charge for the sensor repair, $328.22, and we are allowing the charge to be reversed. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/10/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I told them that I was worried about the OIL PRESSURE altogether. I was hoping it was just a sensor but I needed them to make sure of this because I drive 80 miles a day for work. The mileage of the ENGINE is 96000 as it was replaced. I told them to make sure that my car was safe to drive. If what they are saying is true then why did they not tell me ANYTHING about any leaks or that the engine was at the end of it's life. Instead they told me that I needed brakes! What kind of mechanic would look at a car regarding oil pressure and not check the oil pressure!!!
