Rojas Trees Services was hired to remove a tree, grind out stump, remove wood, blow debris and cleanup, as I am building on the area. Was told it would be 2 days, in and out for $2300. Tree was cut down quickly, over a weekend. I was told the trunk and cleanup would be completed the following day and Rojas was paid. Eight days later, after multiple calls and messages, the trunk was partially ground, leaving a low trunk, roots, a broken fence and all of the mess.

I received pricing for tree removal 9/18/23 and trees were cut down the same day. I was told that he would be returning the following day for clean up but needed payment so that he could pay his climber. Total cost was $3k. which I stupidly gave him. Since then it’s been a fun game if cat and mouse. He won’t answer a call… responds randomly to text messages stating he is coming but then never shows

I hired him to remove a tree from my backyard. He came out and looked at the tree and gave me an estimate of $500, but then he came back to do the job and raised the price to $800 and started the work before confirming the new price was okay. He told me he would not remove the stump but it would be even with the ground. He left the stump a foot and a half above the ground and said that was the best he could get it. His trucks tore up my yard and left huge grooves in the yard and I asked him if he was going to come back and fix it. He said yes, and that my neighbors told him they wanted to have some trees removed but they were waiting till they got paid the next week and he would fix my yard when he returned to work on their trees. I spoke with my neighbors and they said that conversation never happened, and every time I reached out to him about fixing my yard he either didn't respond or he would say that he would come within the next week, but then never come. He started dodging my phone calls and my text messages and eventually I had to pay to fix the yard myself. It cost me about $100 and 9 hours of labor. There were several times that I would have to text him three different times to get him to respond . He would say he was coming that day and then not show up, and then I would text him the next day and nothing, and then two days later I would text him again and he would finally respond. This was consistently his behavior. What I have found in my interactions with him is that he is not responsive, he is a liar, and he does not follow through. And in my research on the type of work he does I have found several other people with similar stories to mine.

She sent me a picture of a tree. We gave her a rough estimate of $500. When we got there it was tangled in with other trees. So we had to climb the tree to cut it down. I let her know this tree usually would cost $2000 but we only charged $800. I had to pay dump fees to get rid of the wood.
