On 09/23/2022 i took two 2 gold anodized motorcycle rims to Homer's cycles in toledo ohio to have some tires mounted... the rims were brand new I paid 2100.00 dollars for said rims and i had to wait 10 months to receive these rims only to take them to a place I have used before to mount tires... When I went to pick them up on Tuesday 09/27/2022 they had significant damage on them not only was the anodized coating messed up but the actual rim had gouges in them... I immediately was like hey what the heck... And all the women said was sorry... I said I want my money back.. 61.00... She said alli can give you is 20.00 back and we won't mount anymore tires for you

      Business response

      10/31/2022

In response to complaint ******** I would like to say the following.

When ****** dropped off the 2 wheels, he was demanding and wanted the tires mounted right away. I explained to him that the man who mounts tires was out on family medical leave and it may be a few days before we could get them done. I told him that he was welcome to take them else where but he opted to leave them with me.

When he picked them up he was happy, he took the wheels out to his car and then he came back in yelling, screaming and cursing at me. (And I do mean cursing "f" this and that) I'm sure had my partner would have been here he would not have acted that way. But for some reason some men think treat a woman with no respect.

There was one of my regular customers here that started to step in, but I motioned for him to sit back down. I stayed calm and looked at the wheel in question. He had to point out the small scratch ( the width of a pencil lead and approx 1/4" long) There were no gouges.

I told him I was sorry about the scratch I would refund the cost of mountuing the one tire. Which was $20. He continued  to curse at me but agreed to the refund and left. Or so I though, he came back in still screaming at me and wanted a full refund but I told him no. We mounted two tires and installed a valve stem. The one wheel had no damage at all.

As he left he was still yelling and told me he was going to contact the Better Business Bureau. And I responded with you do you.

I have never been verbally abused that way that I was that day. And I have been here for over 40 years.

We take great pride in our work here and have been doing wheel work for many, many years. We have a great reputation with our wheel work and customers will even UPS wheels in for us to work on. We mount more tires that any other motorcycle shop in the entire area. We do work for other dealers anlong with our own customer base. We do not GOUGE wheels.

Mr. ****** was over the top. There was no need to behave the way he did. At no time did he say "what the heck." He screamed 'What the ****" over and over again.

I'm sorry that he was not happy with us, and he has the right to do file with you. But we did not ruin his wheels, we did not destroy his wheels, yes we did put a small scratch in one, that will not effect the use of the wheels at all.
