Requested a quote on 4/19 for tent, tables and chair rental for graduation party in June and received it that day at 1:31. Quote stated items are reserved. That night (4/2012:35) emailed a confirmation of going forward with the quote. 4/20 at 8:10 received an email stating "sounds good" and stated to call or mail the deposit in. 4/20 11:30 called to pay deposit via credit card and was told that contract was not available even though I had confirmed it. Business stated that it was not held because I had not paid deposit. even stated that if I had mailed a check it would not have been available because they had already rented the products to another person. I feel that the email from them stating "sounds good' was them acknoledging that they reserved everything for me and were waiting on my deposit to arrive either via phone or mail.Business response

Business stated the consumer was provided a quote. Consumer would've needed to put a down payment at time of reservation (per emailed response). Verbiage on document says reservation, but the company can't change it. Its a quote. The tent was not available for that date. Rentals are first come, first serve with a paid deposit. No money was exchanged at time of quote, therefore no contract to honor.

I am rejecting this response because:
There was written communication that confirmed my reservation which they did not honor. They stated I could mail a check or call with a credit card. This implies that the reservation was held awaiting my check or credit card. 3 hours past from the written confirmation of the held reservation and I called and my reserved items were rented to another party.
The contract they had issued states items are reserved and I have an email stating they were reserving items for me.Sincerely,
