I was scheduled to be a part of a medical aid trip to El Salvador with my medical school (VCOM Carolinas) in spring of 2020, however due to the COVID pandemic the trip was canceled and I was credited $576.26 for the already purchased flight with Delta airlines. On 12/27/23 I reached out to my assigned travel agent who could use the airline ticket for me (Per my medical school booking could only occur through the travel agency). The travel agent's name is **** at Ottawa Hills. On 12/27/2023 I provided **** with the exact information for the trip I would like to use the credits toward as well as my credit card information for the use in any extra expenses that should come up when booking the flights. **** replied to the email that day that she would book the flight. This interaction all took place prior to the deadline of 12/28/23 or 12/29/23 (in prior emails she mentioned two deadline dates, with no clear distinction between which was the correct date). On 1/2/24, I reached out to **** regarding the booking of the flights. She informed me that the ticket voucher has expired. When asked regarding compensation or to speak to a supervisor regarding her failing to book the flight in time as she had stated she would, she replied that she was simply a contractor and all she could do was check with Delta airlines regarding the flight credit, which she said she had already done and there was nothing else she could do. I now find myself potentially having lost the $576.26 flight credit due to **** at Ottawa Hills not performing her job as directed and promised.Business response

The original airline ticket was purchased on 06/06/2019 and was paid for by ** ************. This was
a group booking paid for by VCOM for a medical mission trip not Mr. *****, that was ultimately canceled
due to Covid travel regulations.
Below is a copy of an email that was sent to the VCOM on 03/24/2020 as they purchased the group
ticket and they forwarded to all travelers including Mr. **** for use of a future mission once Covid
travel restrictions were removed.
In April of 2022 Mr. **** requested and was given the actual ticket number so at any time he could
have utilized this ticket.
Due to circumstances, I regret being out of the office and this ticket was not issued.
1. Mr. **** had the ticket number per his request from April 22, 2022, and could have contacted
Delta for use at any time.
2. Additionally, one would think Mr. **** would have noticed that no ticket was sent to him,
charged to him, or existed before contacting me again January 2, 2024.
There is no refund or use of ticket.
